Pest Zone Pest Control

For the past month, on warmer and sunny days, I was finding lots of black ants in my kitchen... some days more than 25.
I called another company before I decided to go on HomeStars.
The person I talked to explained to me that my Dad and I would have to leave the house for at least 4 hours which was not possible as my Dad is 92 and handicapped, not able to go out unless being transferred to the hospital by ambulance. This person told me that she was going to ask if there was other treatment available ans was supposed to call me back... which she never did.

I was very stressed out with the situation and finally decided to go on the HomeStars website and posted a request.
I have been very lucky to get a fast response from Zone Pest Control. The person I talked to asked me some questions and told me that he thought that it was probably carpenters ants.
Like the other company he told me that the best treatment would need
us to go out for 4 hours but because of my Dad health issues, he offered me to come, look at the problem, see what kind of ants we were dealing with and tell me after what he could do to get rid of the ants.
Seeing that I was very stressed with this situation, he offered me to come the next morning which I really appreciated.
He arrived on time, explained to me what he was going to do starting by looking outside and inside my house for any ants traces. After, he explain that the best treatment would of been us to get out for 4 hours but told me that he was going to treat with some other chemical. He treated inside and outside the house.
When finished, he told me to call him if ever I was seeing live ants in the house. He also told me that the caulking around one of the kitchen window needed to be replaced and showed me a picture.
He called me last week to ask me if I saw more ants in the house,
especially in the kitchen. I told him that I saw 2 of them a couple of days after he came and he asked me to call him if I would see more... he would immediately come back. Since then, I didn’t see any.
Now, I need to find someone who will be able to come, check all the windows and doors caulking and put some when needed.
