Basement Specialist

Ongoing problems with project to lower basement and add foundation walls to addition. Project started Feb 2018 and as of July 6th, I asked them not to return. Poor communication, no project plan with end date, excuses for delays, as reported to me by my neighbours, rarely working on site, unprofessional (house had mud coating floors, doors, washroom used despite sewer was not hooked up, walls destroyed ), poor workmanship... blockwork a mess; as of July 27th, water showing as coming through in two areas... This company removed all my ductwork and left in yard until May leading me to believe that of course they will reinstall... surprise!! Also, no reconnection of gas line... surprise!! Additional foundation work required and will be completed by others. After paying $58,000, I have now further costs associated with the work.

Waterproofing and weeping tiles were installed inside -- this is generally done when you have already a foundation in place to save money... no explanation provided as to why, prior to pouring concrete foundation, that the weeping tiles and waterproofing not installed on outside

Despite the fact that he doesn't work in my area, he still took the time to answer lots of questions by phone and provide lots of information and helpful tips. Amazing!

I had called Tom to come have a look in my basement that was plagued with water intrusion issues. We waterproofed one side of the house on the inside, added a backflow valve, removed 6" of floor in my cold cellar and poured a new concrete floor to make this area a usable space.

Tom was very responsive and available throughout the 4 day job.
His crew was top tier. They came with years of experience and worked very hard. I was kept up to speed as they progressed and they took the time to show me the job at different intervals. I couldn't have asked for a better crew. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend speaking with Tom for any service his team provides.
