AR Tile and Marble

Unfortunately, I wish I had the same experience that previous reviewers had. My experience couldn't have been further off. Although full payment was issued to Gaetano, the job was left incomplete and communications stopped. Gaetano's crew was always professional and their work was excellent. I wish I could say the same of their employer on this job. Gaetano bullied, harassed and threatened me into final payment before finishing touches that were included in the original scope were complete. During the course of the renovation, my bathtub was damaged and never repaired. It was impossible to coordinate the scheduling of trades with him, to the point where I offered to try and schedule them myself. Eventually, I gave up and had someone else do the finishing touches. The entire renovation from start to finish took 4 weeks and during this time I received complaints from my condo board as Gaetano ignored the time restrictions which I provided for the work to be done within. Overall, this was a learning experience and one in which I hope never to repeat. I came to know of ABJM Tile through SmartRenos.

After not getting calls returned from 6 tilers recommended from my local Hardware store, I tried Homestars. I was given the name of Gaetano Scarola, of ABJM Tile and Marble. I was a little reluctant because of this whole online thing - reviews can be written by anyone. How do trust what people say online? My worries were totally unfounded with Guy (Gaetano).

First of all, he immediately seemed very eager and professional. After a number of phone calls with one another, the deal was on. We agreed on a price (which was) the lowest quote I had gotten. He was very flexible and accommodated my schedule which was to be a very busy week ahead of us (March Break, cabinet installers, etc...). Guy was always available to talk, advise and consult and never did anything with out first informing me and making sure I was happy.

I have to say something here that I found great and refreshing. Costumer Service! Remember that? Like when you were a kid, and you pulled up to a gas station, out of no where these people with smiles would pump the gas, clean your windshield, check your fluids? Kinda like that. I always knew he could be gotten a hold of and was always straightforward, clear and honest. This aspect of the job to me was the most important, trust.

I knew by talking with him, the job itself was going to turn out great. The great customer service made everything easy and made me think how this part of running a business has really died off in our culture. Pride in his work, pride in the relationship built throughout the job was very different than most contractors or home improvement folks I have dealt with. It's clear that these guys care about their name and take tremendous pride in exceeding their customers' expectations.

The work itself, what can I say, was exactly what, no, more than I expected. The whole family had just got back last night from Quebec and I expected the floor to dirty and dusty, I had resigned myself that after all that driving, I still would have to clean up - with sponge - the newly laid tile. Nope. Guy knew were coming home after a long drive and made sure, himself, that our floors would be perfectly clean, and they were.

Hell, he even fed our cat while we were away!

I would hire him again in a second, and will when I need a another job done.

10 stars for abjm tile and marble, over exceeded my expectations from countless moments of customer service to the quality of the work done in my bathroom. Guy was patient at answering all my questions, always on call. I now refer him to anyone who looking to updo any tile and marble, definitely recommended.

We moved in our new place and needed some renovations done.
We called ABJM tile and marble and they were very professional and friendly. They were very accommodating to our schedule. They explained the process, timeframe and cost involved in order to meet our expectations
They did some tile work in our bathroom upstairs and also in our kitchen. The job was finished on time and within the estimate quoted. It looks amazing, very satisfied. I would definitely recommend ABJM Tile and Marble

I originally posted a positive review of ABJM because guytano made efforts to complete the job and even came back to try and correct deficiencies. But I have to change my review since the job was done completely incompetently. Within a few months of setting the floor tiles in our kitchen, powder room and hallway, the grout began to crumble. It’s gotten progressively worse over the last several months. We have paid an actual professional flooring/tiling/grout person to remediate. Going with ABJM was a costly mistake.

I wanted to trust guytano and have given him opportunities to correct the problems but I don’t think he or his crew really know what they are doing in the case of our home. Strongly recommend avoiding ABJM and going with a reputable company. I’m not surprised about the many negative reviews and legal action against this company.

We reno'd our basement bathroom and adjacent furnace room. We removed the existing tile floor and it was a mess. We then hired ABJM Tile to dry-pack and level the floor and install new porcelain tile. Guytano and his team were amazing. He was very responsive and could be reached anytime of the day. His installers took their time (since I was not under any deadline) to ensure a great product in the end, especially around the existing hot tub. I am very pleased with the final look and will recommend ABJM anytime!

Gaetano gave me fantastic service and was very accomadating to my schedule. There employees were very skilled,clean,safe and respectful .The quality of work was excellent.It was truly a pleasure to work with them.

Reno'ing a bathroom, called and booked a time to get a quote in person. He came on time, where other companies did not want to meet in person or didn't respond to a call. Quote was given and a time line for the work. Work was completed within the time scale, any problems we saw that we didn't like on the tile setting was fixed. We had to be away for a time of work, and worried that the rest of it might not get done. When we got back we called and they came back and finished it no problems. Always great response time to phone calls, which always helps.
