We hired Only Basements to construct a rental basement apartment at the end of August. Our plan was to have our cramped basement underpinned and finish it as a separate unit that we could rent out. The initial meeting with our project manager Joseph helped reduce the knowledge barrier my wife and I had with all the steps involved in our project. Joseph went over the entire process step by step so we got a much better idea of the scope work involve. He then provided us with a payment schedule that allowed us to pay at the completion of stages which made it easier for us to commit to OnlyBasements comparing with the other quote we received from another contractor. Their Architect Michael started our project with helping us designing the layout we had in mind, while the engineer worked on underpinning drawings and permits. To say the least the design team did a great job and got our permits in less than a month. Once the actual work was started we were surprised at how detailed and time oriented our project manager Joseph was in planning the entire project. We were given daily and weekly updates by Joseph and he was always available to communicate with us answering our emails and texts promptly keeping us informed at all the time during this project. Much thanks to Joseph and his great team for working coherently to finish our basement right on time before Christmas holidays.
