I had Super Powers move my 2 bedroom, 1060 sq ft condo from Red Deer to Calgary this past Saturday. I selected them based off the good online reviews and the recommendation of a friend who used them to to move her out of a 2 bed walk up apartment and she said they did a good job. The email communication prior to the move was good and the owner was quite quick to respond.

Gord and Aaron (sorry not sure if that is how he spells his name) were my movers. Both were polite and careful.

There was some miscommunication/misunderstanding on both sides but the owner did make an effort quickly to resolve the issues to my satisfaction.

Thanks! It can be a ton of information to go through when it comes to being properly prepared for a move. Sorry about the delay, there were many factors we overcame to complete the job effectively and we appreciate your understanding. As far as time/estimations etc. there are charts and estimations that are usually pretty accurate but the stresses and the sheer chaos of moving in general can affect how much information is actually absorbed. For the future, my plan is to make a little help video instead, which should help people in the estimations, preparation tips, and other things that can focus on comparing efficiency ratios with safety and damage prevention. I had Super Powers move my 2 bedroom, 1060 sq ft condo from Red Deer to Calgary this past Saturday. I selected them based off the good online reviews and the recommendation of a friend who used them to to move her out of a 2 bed walk up apartment and she said they were quick and careful.

Pros: the two movers did pack everything up extremely carefully - probably could've shipped the items oversees. The email communication prior to the move was good and the owner was quite quick to respond.

Cons: Biggest con was definitely the length of time it took. I was disappointed and honestly a little shocked that the load up took 7 hours. Unload was quicker at 2 hrs but the owner did come over about an hour in in Calgary after phoning to see where his guys were/where everything was going which was appreciated. They were delayed in Calgary coming to Red Deer (owner had emailed the previous evening saying they'd be there closer to 11-12 vs 10:30-11 originally which I consented too as it didn't seem like too much of a delay but the team didn't arrive till almost 2pm which obviously bumped the whole process back a bit)

I regret not having them or other companies do an in home quote as perhaps then they would have been able to give a more accurate quote/estimate on price and time so my expectations would have been lower.

When I moved from Edmonton to Red Deer two years ago I had movers and the whole load, travel, and unload process was around 7 hrs so that's what I was anticipating here (esp as I had way less boxes this time around). I don't know what I could've done differently to make this go smoother as I thought I gave a fairly accurate inventory of the items and it was a first floor condo (10 boxes in the storage locker downstairs which took maybe 15-20 mins to bring up). Maybe I should have insisted they send a 3 man crew but I relied on their experience in knowing what an appropriate sized crew/truck would be.

They did the work and I paid for it, more than I expected to, but just overall disappointed. I hope others who book with them get the experience the positive reviewers had.
