This job was a vertical extension to an existing concrete foundation in the lot. The challenge was to build a platform to hold the formworks in place. This platform needed to be strong enough to carry a load of the formworks, scaffolds, people and the new concrete itself. The overall results was a smooth finish that had a perfect sealed connection to the previous foundation. The contemporary nature of the design of this home with its full steel structural frame, coupled with the unique grade changes of the site made for challenging foundation construction.
