We recently attended a Home Show with the goal of finding a solution to our drafty acrylic skylights. At the "Ask an Expert" booth we received a referral to Rod at Marquee Roofing. A visit was booked to discuss options. When he arrived, we were immediately impressed by his knowledge and experience. You could just tell that he was passionate about roofing as he presented options for both skylights and shingles. Having worked with the insurance industry replacing roofs & skylights for a number of years, we were confident he was the right guy for the job. Choices were narrowed and he left us with lots of information to consider. At no time did he pressure us to make a quick decision and left it up to us.
After several weeks, we decided to proceed and contacted Rod to work on formalizing an estimate. Dealing with Rod had the same professional, corporate feel as I experience at work dealing with our suppliers. As the customer, ultimately I was in charge and went back several times for clarification to get everything right. He even left shingle samples with us for a couple of weeks as he patiently waiting for authorization to proceed. The go-ahead was given.
The crew who replaced the shingles took 2 days and were both professional and polite, and at the end of each day left the site clean and tidy. Rod dropped by on the second day to install the skylights. The quality of work was excellent and despite our best efforts to have thought of every detail, Rod had considered what we didn't... such as matching the skylight flashing to the color of the shingles and painting out the bare metal bathroom exhaust vents.
Having said all that, here is where I was most impressed. A week after the work was done and our account was settled, I noticed a deficiency that was missed at the time of install... one of the bathroom vents was the wrong height. I took pictures and emailed Rod hoping that he would take care of it. This would be a true test of his character as he'd already been paid and this fix would cost him time and money. Before I got home the next day, the problem had been resolved!
So, would I recommend Marquee Roofing to work on your roof? Without a doubt!
