I can't say enough good things about working with this company. They are professional, they show up on time, and Domenic takes as much time as you need to understand fully what is going to happen, and what isn't. He's also great with prickly neighbors, and when asked, has good suggestions about other projects that I'm working on.

I initially called Dom for a quote on a area of my brick wall where water/moisture was seeping through to the interior wall due a faulty downspout. I had assumed that the area behind the gutters needed to be tuck pointed and patched up, but he advised me that the brick wall was sound and that if I repaired just the eavestrough and downspout that the water leakage would no longer be an issue. I had 5 mason companies come out to quote me on the job, and Dom, along with one other company advised me the exact same thing. That I'd be wasting my money because there were no cracks or areas missing mortar -- that the brick wall was in good condition. I really appreciated his honesty. Instead he focused on my secondary job which was the foundational stone wall that was in dire need of repairs (i.e cracks, holes and loose stones). Dom quoted me promptly on this work, and it was on par with the other company that displayed honesty. I decided to go with him instead as I knew he himself would be on the job rather than just sending workers and having a foreman type person inspecting the work after it's completed. Once I told him I was good with the quote, he was very communicative and flexible with scheduling as I had another trade scheduled in first to replace eavestroughs, soffits and facia, and due to a number of rainy days they were running late. When Dom arrived to do the job, he took the time to explain how he'd repair the wall, and what materials he'd be using. It took a few hours, and once it was completed he had me come out to expect it. I was very pleased. It looked great! He was very thorough and the area was super clean too. What pleased me the most was that he had a bit of left over mortar and asked me if there were any other areas that I knew that needed a bit of patching up as he didn't want to toss the remaining mortar out if it could be used. I had a few cracks in and around a window sill that needed a bit of mortar and he gladly patched that area up too. I will use Dom again if I require any mason repairs in the future and will certainly recommend him to my friends.

I looked through the reviews from home stars, found Dominic and decide to call him as I have been unsuccessful in the past to find a masonry to come help with they consider a small job. To my surprise, Dominic was so helpful when I explain my proble to him and he provided me cheaper options but I insist that I needed his service. Dominic was on time, polite, friendly and very detail. He explained in details where the problem is and what I should do to prevent future problems. Not only did he complete the work he agrees to do, he even go out of his way to fill other gaps he sees between other bricks for free and clean everything up after. I have now told all my friends about him and I will call for his service for sure if I need any work done with my bricks, stones, foundations....etc. Thank you for a job well done Dominic!

Dominic at Newport quoted on our work, giving us a very detailed description. He kept us posted with any changes to their schedule. They arrived at agreed upon time and completed the task of replacing over 100 splayed bricks and parging the first two courses. The work looks very good, the bricks matched my 60 year old house. They were courteous, easy to communicate with, hardworking and honest. They gave us a firm price that was better than others and an excellent guarantee. My mother was selling her house in Oakville but found some leaks in the basement coming from gaps in the brickwork and the joint between the brick and the front porch. The house was going up for sale so it was important to get this done quickly and professionally. I requested a quote from 4 companies via Homestars. Dominic was extremely fast in responding and made the effort to come out very quickly and personally inspect the situation. On first meeting he was professional, knowledgeable and personable. He gave us a very reasonable quote and then came out a couple of days later to do the work. Everything was done effectively and efficiently and on a very timely basis. Dominic also took the time to custom match the grouting to the original. He then came around a couple of days later, on his own initiative, to inspect his work and see if any touch-ups were required. What surprised me was that when it came time to pay he reduced his fee because it hadn't taken as much time to do the work as he had thought. You don't get that level of honesty very often in the construction trade. I was impressed with the work so I asked Dominic to do some work on my house in Burlington. There were problems with the flagstones on the front porch (loose stones and deteriorating grouting and some cracks in the brick grouting). Dominic came around 2 days later and started the work as requested a couple of days after that. The stone work is excellent and looks as good as the day it was initially installed. The fees were reasonable and Dominic's colleague (who did the work) was very experienced and professional. Dominic brought his colleague around, introduced him and then followed up to make sure everything was going to plan. I was very satisfied with the work at both houses and I would not hesitate to recommend Dominic to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about Dominic and Trevor. They are absolute gentleman, and they do terrific terrific work. They actually went above and beyond the original scope of work, but would not charge a penny more than their quote. I will definitely hire them again and would unreservedly recommend them to anybody who needs their fine work. They arrived as promised on time, they finished on time, and they completely cleaned up after themselves.

Dominic and his crew did a great job on exterior masonry repairs to our house, and completed the job in 1 day as quoted.

I feel he suggested the best course of action, and did not try to upsell me on the most expensive option.

Dominic repaired the masonry on an exterior walkway after we fixed a basement leak. He was knowledgeable, forthright, prompt, careful, and reliable. Dominic gave me no-nonsense advice about our job, even saving me money where he could have made a more extensive repair. I do recommend Newport and I will call Dom again when we need similar work.

I found Dominic in Homestars after some extensive research. He is a man of his word and does a project like his own house. He communicates well. Informs you of there is a problem. Finishes on time. Dominic identified a problem while digging a trench for us. Our brick foundation had some problem due to the old down spout washing away the mortar. Dominic did a great job fixing it. Definitely call him for any brick, concrete slab or house foundation building. He is fantastic.
