Called numerous contractors but nobody wanted to work with an existing system and everyone wanted me to buy their system. Paul was different and helped me overcome the hurdles and pitfalls of my system and improved it immensely with minor upgrades and intellectual tweaks.

We were renovating our basement and asked S.H.A.R.K to cable the basement for Internet and coaxial cable. We also asked for in wall installation of a home theater. S.H.A.R.K is a one stop shop for all our needs. Paul acted as an advisor for our home theater needs and he also sourced all the components for us. Shark Team upgraded our newly renovated home with providing Leviton home automation light switching, security cameras with NVR, 3D Projector setup and home network patching services. All cabling are neatly patched into central rack with labels.
Paul and team from Shark Home Automation provided professional install service, prompt communication and a catered honest solution for our specific needs. Shark Team was very cooperative and open to alternative solutions and leveraged their network of subject matter experts to provide catered options.

We had a HAI - Leviton - system already installed but everything was controlled locally. Paul and SHARK team helped us identify what was needed and get only the essentials rather than the frill.
A couple of other companies came for a home visit but Paul was extremely professional, honest and capable of handling the task. Paul and a member of his staff allowed us to upgrade the automation board and control our thermostats and home security along with garage door using our smart phones.

We own a small hotel near Algonquin Park - there’s a lot to do by myself and this is Hydro One territory so the hydro bills are crazy. Paul from Shark installed and programmed some automated lighting and motion sensors for us so we can keep the place lit for guests but also keep electricity costs under control. We had Shark do our lighting and security system during our reno. We were shopping around for those separately, but Paul brought up some good ideas and we ended up being able to control both through one system.

We have scene switches in some of the rooms that turn a bunch of lights to programmed levels and some of the lights are controlled by motion sensors at night so they come on when I’m stumbling around in the dark. Everything can be programmed so there’s a bunch of nifty conveniences that are hard to describe, but we made one of the electrical outlets in the kitchen automated so now I can shut the stove off through my phone if I forget in the morning. Both our security and lighting stuff is controlled through one app which is handy when the kids come home and forget the code.

It was a long reno with a bunch of contractor problems, but we never had a problem with Paul – his quote was the clearest and most understandable among any of them and broke down what was to be done, and how much each part cost. He worked well with our general contractor Glen and didn’t slow anything down, plus he reminded us to do some things which someone else had let slip through the cracks like run cable and phone lines into the house so we recommend him immensely.
