Platinum Roofing

Jeff (owner) and his crew at Platinum Roofing did an excellent job on the new roof of our house. He helped us thru the decision of asphalt vs metal (we went with asphalt in the end) with forthright and honest answers. There was no high pressure sales pitch and his price was quite competitive. His is a well run business. They showed up on schedule, completed the work efficiently, paid attention to the details, did an excellent job on the install and cleaned up very well afterwards. The crew was very friendly and Jeff is working on the roof alongside his crew. Overall, we are very pleased with the end result, with the service and would highly recommend Platinum Roofing.

Had 5 companies quote for complete replacement of a roof. Platinum was not the cheapest but was competitive with the other bidders. They are able to offer an extended Certain Teed ( the shingle manufacturer ) warranty which seems well worth the small additional cost.

Workmen were on site when they said they would be and completed the work and clean up on a timely basis. Particularly impressed that they do not use subcontractors - the owner is on site throughout the job. Have no complains ( it's been less than a year though - roof installed late summer 2015 ) about their workmanship.

Problems started with regard to obtaining Warranty Certificate from Certain Teed. Roofer must submit the necessary paper work, and pay a fee, to Certain Teed and they did not do so. Followed up with roofer in fall - told they wait and put in paper work for multiple roofs at the same time. Followed up again in mid April. Roofer's owner said he would check status and get back to me. Waited 2 weeks and no call back. Phoned owner numerous times and received no responses or call backs.

Contacted Certain Teed Regional Manager. Very helpful but roofer wouldn't even call him back over the course of a couple of weeks.

Finally received the warranty Certificate on June 1. Altogether a
very unpleasant experience and will not deal with this company again.
