Be careful hiring this company. I am writing this review because I do not want you to trust this guys doing electrical work at your house no matter how simple it is like putting the pot lights or shower fans. I hired this company on April 4, 2016 through Trusted Pro. Manuel da Silva came to check the site. He gave me 2 references who gave this company a glowing recommendations. Manuel said that they build custom build cabinets from their shop with the owner Jessie Darby who gives workshop/training to aboriginals. He showed me pictures of the work they did in their shop and the work their did for the Presutti's in the Beaches. I hired him based on his representation and his references. I paid him $2,000.00 and additional $2,000 after 2 days. I was getting frustrated because he was so slow. My husband and I are finding that the framing he did was shoddy. I started getting suspicious about this company when Manuel keeps on asking for more money when little job is done.
He also renege on his obligation regarding disposing of the construction debris that was in his quote.
He assured me that everything he does and did is pursuant to the Building Code and all materials of above average standard. I took it upon myself to get a licensed plumber and electrician to check his work. I was shocked when the electrician found so many electrical mistakes that are unsafe and not up to Code.
I terminated their services on April 16th because I do not feel comfortable working with them again.
I am out of pocket but it is better this way. My advise is to get a BONDED and INSURED contractor and before you hire them, they must show it to you.
Be careful of good reviews and references because it might not be true. They could be friends and relatives of the company.
