I had hired TVL to install sod in my backyard after having a large tree removed which destroyed the existing grass. Initially David was very communicative and promised he could do the whole scope of work we we looking for (remove a concrete paving stone pathway, fill in holes from ground sinking after tree removal, and then sod installation).

Then came the problems. We had been given a time frame that the work would happen by Friday or early the next week. When I followed up mid week the week following I was given the run around about delays and timing and then told that the extra bin for the concrete pavers was not available which was creating some logistical issues. I asked for him to let me know what the timeline was again and also provided some pictures of the areas we had seen the ground sink for reference when they came on site.

Next communication I get is 11pm the following day saying that they cant do the engagement due to scope creep and they will be issuing a refund. When I asked for clarification on the issue, and even offered to reduce the scope knowing the issue about the cement paver disposal, I had radio silence for two days and then received an email Saturday morning saying that the refund had been sent and the only information I was given was that the issues in my yard were more than they could handle.

Im very unhappy with what happened and how it was handled by David and TVL. I personally feel like they bit off more than they could chew and rather than have a conversation with me about what they were able to do they decided to cut their losses. If any of these issues or concerns had been identified at any point in the months preceding this we could have picked a different vendor, done some of the mitigation ourselves in advance, or even limited the

After having my pool installed last fall, the pool company informed me this spring they were unable to find sod to finish repairing the damage caused by their equipment. I was forced to find my own company to do the work. This is how I came across David and TVL. I received other quotes from other companies and although TVL was the cheapest, they weren't the most expensive either. The primary reason why I chose them was the genuine concern and care that David showed to my project and even though I hadn't selected his company yet provided tip on how to improve my drainage. My project was a little difficult as I have a walk out basement and the damage caused by the pool excavation equipment left quite a mess up the side of my house. I've included a before picture, which shows the mess I was left with, and a mid way picture showing the grading that was done and the soil added. Unfortunately I don't have a final picture, but its a thing of beauty having my grassy hill back!

The owner David treated his crew with dis-respect in front of me while they were carefully trying to solve an issue with me. The crew was great and attentive yet they were continually blocked and questioned. The owner then took 3 months to resolve the issue of locating the water main that they had put sod over.

Dave was very helpful and I was impressed that the sq. footage was calculated to be less than the 2 other contractors I contacted even though I intially told him what they were quoting. Due to the excess rainy season it was not on schedule but I felt he did all that was possible to finish my job in the most timely way. When some of the sod didn't take root for various reasons, not under his control, he came back and replaced the affected areas at no charge to me. My lawn now looks beautiful and compliments the surrounding gardens. I would highly recommend Terra Verde to anyone who asks.

We have a front yard ( 30' x30' )and it had a huge hump in the middle . It need to be re-graded (about 12 " inches removed )and new sod put in . I spoke to 3 companies for quotes I found David very helpful and friendly and received a quote very quickly. They removed the excess sod and dirt , re-graded the area and neatly installed the sod. They spent the time afterwards making sure the area was cleaned up. David and the two other workers were very professional , hard working and friendly when they were working on my lawn. Did an excellent job and would highly recommend them !

Sod installed in fall of 2016. After years of losing the battle against chinch bugs destroying our lawn, I called Terra Verde for help. David responded to my inquiry quickly, did a site visit and provided a great price. He and his friendly hard-working crew transformed our large front lawn in one day, even though it was planned as a two-day job. Kudos to David and his workers, they were professional and a pleasure to work with! The sod is lush and of high quality... I followed instructions to water thoroughly and to mow high in the spring. The lawn looks fabulous with many compliments. I will hire Terra Verde again this year to handle another job - highly recommended.
