I hired Mac and Sons based on the ratings and reviews on this site. While Matt is a nice guy and seems to do good work he failed miserably when it came to showing up on time and letting me know when he was going to be late. The first day he told me he would be at my house first thing Friday morning - at 10:30 when he hadn't arrived and I hadn't heard from him I called. He said he was on the way but had a quick stop to make. He didn't arrive until 11:55. The second day he said he's come by in the morning and he showed up about mid-morning. Since he never gave me a specific time I was okay with this. When he left that day he said he would come by the next day after the electrician finished was finished. The electrician arrived on time and completed his work at 9:30 a.m. - Matt never showed and never called. The final straw was his next visit. He told me he would be at my house on Tuesday morning. I texted him at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday morning asking for his estimated time of arrival. At 3:00 p.m. when I still hadn't heard from him I sent an email telling him his services were no longer required. I had to take time off work to be home to home to let him in. I lost 2.5 days of work waiting for him to show up. To add insult to injury - he billed me for 13 hours of labour at $150.00/hr for a simple job the Plumber I hired to replace him said shouldn't have taken more than a day to complete. I paid his bill (because I honour my commitments) but won't be using or recommending him anytime soon.

Mac was very good to work with. He did the plumbing for our reno and had no problem doing the "extras" I requested. When we had an issue with our plumbing about a month later he came and fixed the issue on warranty with no cost.
Mac has a nice personality and is quite timely as well.
We were very happy with the service provided as well as the prices he charged us.
We would recommend Mac to anyone.

It's hard to find someone to do a small bathroom reno for an older home--but Mac and Sons will .

His work was very professional, his expert advice is based on long experience and his patience in explaining why something should be done is amazing especially since I changed my mind several times: he would just smile and say ok, lets see if this will work or come up with a much better solution.

He's such a neat freak, cleans up after himself and even carries little booties to wear inside your house so he won't track your floors up.

Have had several visits from Mac & Sons. He arrived on time (on short notice), did quality work, checked every fitting for leaks (there were none), provided good advice on dealing with the city when the main shut-off needed replacing and was reasonably priced. I hope it's not soon, but when I need plumbing work done I'll be calling him again.

- on time for appointment- very reasonable rate--cleaned up the work site-very courteous; was very patient with explaining how a hot water heater works. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends.

Matt from Mac & Sons provided very quick and efficient service when our furnace died last weekend. He arrived within a couple hours of our call, identified the problem, and had us back up and running an hour later. He was very professional, kept a clean workspace, and was very courteous.

Our heater quit working late one night and Matt from Mac and Son's came over and got it working quickly as it was a fairly cold winter night. Also fixed my old heater in the garage even though it's out dated and hard to find parts. Cost was more than reasonable. Gave me lots of great ideas for redoing the bathrooms and our kitchen for future projects. Will only deal with Mac and Son's from now on.

Matt had my kitchen sink, faucet and dishwasher installed in no time. He cleaned up after himself and stayed to make sure nothing leaked and that everything was working properly before he left. I would recommend Mac and Sons to anyone looking for a plumber in the Saskatoon area.
