Air Conditioning Service Repair
I called the customer service and told that my AC is working but no cool air, and I believe that there is Freon gas leakage as I could see smoke. I was given appointment on Tues May 22, 2012 and no one showed up. Then I was given appointment for Sat May 26 from 1 PM to 4PM vide case # 17741459-1. After 4 hours waiting, and calling 3 times to 1800-266-3939, I was told that technician is on the way and may reach just after 4 PM. Technician came and having a look at AC unit he told me that it is a gas leakage case (what a discovery made by a genius!) but he does not have Gas test/filling equipment (although he does have usually) so he will schedule next visit on Jun 1. My weekend has been ruined, my central AC is not working, and my children are sweating. What a horrible customer service. Company shall change the name from Direct Energy to "Direct Pain" with logo "Dis-satisfaction gauranteed".

- What could this company do to improve their services?
- 1. Company shall honor appointments. 2. Company shall send technicians with proper equipment, based on the nature of complaint. 3. Company shall believe that clients are not totally dumb. After complaining there is a gas leakage, it hurts if the technician comes and says "It is gas leakgae, but he does not have equipment to fix".
