Well apparently I was given Al, the chief inspector. However, the service I received for a pre-buy home inspection was very inadequate and there were things he should have pointed out which ended up costing me a lot of money later. Of course you can't go back and blame the inspector because they have fine print on the report to say they are not liable. As any of you home buyers know the time is short (5 days) between your offer and when you have to get financing and an inspection done. He basically wrote out one sheet of paper telling me everything was good with only a couple of minor issues like stair railings & re-vent bathroom. I didn't get the formal inspection report from him until 2 wks. later and there were all kinds of errors in it. Very unprofessional. He said in my report that attic insulation had been upgraded and was blown in R32 fiberglass. Turns out it was just some rolls of R32 insulation scattered around and wasn't even covering the whole attic. Now I have to put out $1100 to properly insulate it. Also, he said nothing about getting the fireplace and woodstove wet certified before buying and that ended up costing me money. Do not recommend. He did a very bad job.
