Last Minute Movers

Do not USE these people! We hired them to move our house. We got a quote to start and the owner was seemingly decent. We told them there was a piano to move (piano was in the family for 50+years). They showed up and had no piano moving dolly or moving blankets. I called the owner and he said he would show up with blankets and a dolly. An hour later he showed up with one more blanket and no proper dolly. his workers then started to move the piano, broke it, and ripped the carpet on the stairs of our already SOLD home! I called the owner to explain this and that his insurance would have to cover it. He started cursing and yelling at me and said it wasn't his fault!? Once the truck was loaded at the old house, the moving company owner said they needed another $600.00 or they would unload all the contents of the truck onto the driveway. This was a purposely hidden extra that was never explained up front. We were held over the barrel". this is his tactic. Don't be taken in by their cheap price! I have never had quite an experience like it. The most unprofessional, incompetent, ignorant, company I have ever dealt with. I pitied his employees. He was screaming and yelling at them as well while they were on the job.

We arranged to have Last Minute Movers supply 4 movers yesterday to assist with unloading a truck of furniture. They arrived and demanded $300 cash before they started. We gave them the money and 45 minutes later they disappeared after doing virtually no work. We called the office today to address the issue and the person on the phone was rude and said he had no time to deal with it and would get to it when he had time.

Called them up and asked for quote. It sounded reasonable and they said they are professional and have insurance so not to worry about coverage. Some furniture was damaged during the move. Called to ask for the insurance claim form the manager yelled at me, cursed and said my deductible is $1000. He than threatened to sue me if I'll share the story. I also didn't get a receipt. Avoid at all cost.
