James and his company poured our sidewalk and patio. He also did our garage from start to finish. I have read these other reviews and this is not the experience I had. James was totally professional. His crew was always on time and I really couldn't find one thing to complain about.

James did so good work but it took longer than anticipated. He would say he was coming but would come a day or two later. I understand he might be busy but being a little more reliable would have been nice. He did save me %15 off of the final bill because it took so long.

I hired James to complete a retaining wall. I paid a deposit of $1360.00 and he disappeared. Without completing any work. I guess I am lucky it is a small amount but I am going to do everything I legally can to stop him from taking advantage of others.

Please contact service Alberta and file a complaint if you had a problem like this.

All I can say right at the moment, is STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!! He is a super friendly guy, a smooth talker, who makes you think he knows his stuff, will do a contract, and will offer you a great price, quality and efficient work! He told me all about his life, wife and kids, even brought his daughter on site for the day with my kids. He will take your money and jerk you around.... Shows up when he feels like it, he is unprepared 90% of the time, when he does bring equipment it isn't sufficient for the job, then looks for our tools, or, his excuse is then he needs to go grab something, and NEVER returns. He shows up solo, when its obviously more people are needed to do the work, I have had dig in my self to help, my husband and stepson finished one of the jobs he started, or call in back up to help, and for fun he brought a tonka toy to dig out a basement, that he drove up across the side of my SUV causing $3000 in damages, and he is avoiding you know who on that one!!!! Oh , and doesn't show up on site unless you constantly nag him, and pretty much of everything he says is a false! If you come accross him, RUN LIKE HE**!!! DONT TRUST JAMES OF MACLEOD CONCRETE INC.

I paid a deposit but no work. James is a nice guy but also great at excuses. I am having to take legal action. I should of hired a more professional person or company. Stay away!!!!

i signed a contract with him with down payment 3,000 on may 24th 2015 and he dig all over may house and ask him many times to do it or give may many back but he gave me always false excuse . please don't trust him he has very sharp tong to make you that he is a right person for you. am now looking a company to do it pay another money ,why it happen to me because i believe the wrong man who use us cover God's name . please people don't deal with james or his company.

I had Macleod concrete do my concrete work. They were very respectful and they stayed true to what they had offered. Once they started the work, they didnt leave until the job was completely finished. I had a few different quotes and Macleod concrete was somewhere above the middle. I am actually having them back to do my garage and driveway this year.

I did search for this contractor to check any reviews however; I found none so here I am posting the first review and hoping you and many others don't make the same mistake I made.
I hired James (owner of Macleod Concrete Inc) and he is very good at making you think he is the real deal and how he work for builders and how quickly your project will be done. I signed the contract and one and a half month later after many requests, finally the concrete is poured and I wished it was never poured. James is going after a quick buck and did not finish according to the agreement, he did not prepare the landings we discussed and decided to make one continuous sloped walkway that is extremely dangerous, the finishing is horrible and in some spots I can s e 2 different colors of finishing, he poured the concrete directly on the siding of the house, and the list goes on. Now I am pleasing James to come back and clean the piles of gravel that has been sitting in front of my house and in my yard and remove all the framing for almost 2 month. I made the mistake believing this person and his false promises and wish someone wrote a review in the past.
PLEASE DONT HIRE JAMES FROM MACLEOD CONCRETE INC.
You can find much better contractors on this site with good ratings and you will pay almost the same as I paid.
