Ontario Duct Cleaning

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
First off I just want to say that I never write reviews. I am only writing this review so that others will hopefully avoid the trouble that we went through. The technician who did the cleaning did not properly cover any of the vents in our home causing all of the dust from the 40 year old furnace to spew all over our brand new hardwood floors and carpet. He then tracked all of the dirt and dust from completely opening the vents all through our brand new carpet that had only been installed 24 hours earlier (despite there being a note on file to be careful of the new carpet). He also vacuumed all of the dust into our basement with no attempt to collect it. This caused our entire basement (including our washer and dryer) to have a 1/2 inch coat of dust all over and in it . We later came to find out that the tech was new and not following his training. In his defense he was very remorseful and apologetic. The same could not be said about the Company. When we discovered the problem we asked the tech to have his boss contact us. He spent approximately 1/2 hour on the phone with his boss outside. When he was off the phone he said his boss (Pat) would be calling me in 5 minutes and that he was just going to finish up. He went back downstairs to the basement for approximately another 1/2 hour. Still no call. We asked again for a call from Pat. He again called Pat and spend another 15-20 minutes on the phone and told us she would call us immediately. No call for another 1/2 hour. Then the tech began packing up his truck. I explained that I was not comfortable with him leaving until I had spoken with his boss/manager so that we could sort out how to fix the problem. He gave me Pat's number. I called Pat and she did not answer. I left a vm. I did not receive a call back. I called back in 10 minutes and this time got Pat. From there things got worse. Pat was unprofessional and accusatory. She demanded that someone come and "assess" the damage before they accepted any responsibility and accused me of making up the damage despite the fact that I sent photos and a detailed walk through video (that I am pretty sure she didn't look at). She told me that no one could come until Monday (it was Saturday morning). I explained to Pat that I was not comfortable with the damage remaining until Monday and that we were currently living off site 2 hours away while reno's were completed and that I would have to take time off work to come back Monday morning. Pat told me to just leave them a key and they could go through my house on their own. I told Pat I was not comfortable with that. Pat accused me of being dramatic and exaggerating and kept stating that I should not worry because they are a "very reputable company." Never once during our conversation did Pat apologize. I was forced to wait until Monday morning, wake up at 6am to get to the house for 8am where I would be met by Kate. Kate showed up Monday morning and was initially extremely apologetic. She made attempts to have a cleaning crew in that day. I thought things were finally going to be resolved. The cleaning crew that was sent was not great but did clean some of the damage. However, Kate agreed to pay for another clean by our cleaner. She also offered to have her foreman come and do a proper clean (as we are pretty sure the ducts were not properly cleaned). It felt as if maybe this was a comedy of errors and that Kate would fix it. I have now spent the last almost two month chasing Kate to have her come through on her promises. She is now not responding to emails or texts. The air quality in our home has become so poor we have had to spend money on an air purifier. The dust is still settling months later. We are constantly having to clean and re-clean our floors, carpet, and furniture. Not the new home we were hoping for. We have spent $100s out of pocket just to try and get our home back to what it was before this company came in. On top of that we don't even get the courtesy of a response. There are lots of companies out there. DO NOT HIRE THIS ONE.
