GFCI outlet

I called Community Electric to schedule an install for a GFCI outlet in my crawl space for a sump pump. The staff was courteous and was able to get me scheduled the next day and pulled the permit. Vlad came out and did an excellent job installing the outlet. I happened to have a detailed inspection shortly afterwards, everything passed. I will use Community Electric for any future electrical work I require.

Wiring and installation

Community Electric communicated exceptionally well about the project. The estimator realized after the visit that he had forgotten to check the direction of ceiling joists and immediately called me. We agreed that placing the fan in the ceiling might be tricky, and the installer and I eventually agreed on a wall fan with ducting existing through an exterior wall rather than the ceiling. (Flat membrane roof, no joist gaps, etc.) The different fan increased the cost somewhat but the solution was much preferable to and cheaper than penetrating the membrane and bringing a roofing company into the equation.
All work was completed in about five hours, which included trips to pick up the different fan and some hanger brackets for the new duct. Running the wiring required making several holes in the drywall. The installer plugged the holes neatly, and I spackled, textured, and painted the surfaces. Easy.
All in all, a very nice installation job handled by very attentive and courteous people from Community Electric

Multiple projects

Our experience with Community Electric was great. It started with a call to ask about an estimate for the services. Given the nature of projects I had they provided an estimate of the time required over the phone and confirmed their hourly rate for services. They answered all of my questions regarding what I should purchase versus what they would supply which allowed me to be ready for the work. We booked an appointment and the electrician showed up right on time. He called ahead as well. The work done included installing a ceiling fan with light, installing multiple dimmer switches, installing a new door bell, replacing two exterior lights and installing two overhead light fixtures in the garage.
With a quick walk through the electrician was able to confirm the phone estimate and then got right to work. I was a bit worried about paying by the hour, but he was very efficient and professional. He actually finished up all of the work in less time than the original estimate.
Great experience and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Switch board replacement

I live in a 1945 home. I had been putting the project off for about 5 years cause I was so nervous about what would be involved. Community Electric was very good about explaining the process. They by far gave me the most detailed bid and though I had received a lower bid, I felt more comfortable with the thought that he put into it so that I would not be surprised with large unanticipated additional costs. They were on time and professional and friendly through the whole process.

major electrical work

Community electric ore out all old wiring that was feeding our house, installed 3 way switching and 2 lights for stairs, installed 7 lighting outlets, installed 5 120 volt GFI outlet, installed 240 volt 30 amp for dryer and new dryer cord, installed outside light, installed 3 light switches. Andrew did the majority of the work and I was completely pleased with the quality of his work. He was both professional and unusually nice. I will be using this company in the future.

Vent and Outlet work

This was my third time using Community Electric. I first used them to replace all of the outlets in my new-to-me home. They installed one GFCI outlet in each room, and changed out all of the light switches in the home. The second time I had them come in, they ran electric to a new dishwasher (there hadn't been one in the home before) and as a last minute request during that appointment, they replaced the kitchen lighting for me (switched out a chandelier type light for a track light).
On this third and most recent appointment, I had them come in to install a bathroom vent fan (where there was none before) and also as a last minute request, I asked if they could install an exterior electrical outlet. They've always been very good about working with my schedule and the guys have always been nice and courteous. I would hire them again for any future electrical work.

Light Switches

We needed to be able to turn on/off the stairwell and garage lights from upstairs and down. Andrew advised best way to go would be to install remote switches rather than run wiring in the walls. This was the cheaper solution and we were also glad that we wouldnt have to do any sheetrock repair afterwards. The switches were rather expensive at 170./switch but we are happy that we had the work done and everything works great as promised. Andrew arrived on time and was very pleasant and friendly. I would definately use Community Electric again.

Fan, Outlets

Outstanding. I signed up for a $120 ceiling fan replacement. I actually asked if they could just replace the sockets and not the entire fan. When Aidan got here he determined that the fan was not worth repairing. As my son had my car, Aidan volunteered to run to the hardware store to get the part needed. He was unable to find the part so we decided to reschedule and have the entire fan replaced. In the meantime I decided to also have two outdoor lights replaced. I contacted them and added them to the plan. The ceiling fan and the two outdoor lights were replaced. I was thrilled. Aidan again volunteered to run to the hardware store to get the appropriate battery for the fan's remote control, as my son again had my car. At the same time he picked up caulk that matched the house and sealed the outdoor lights. Very happy with all aspects of the work. Thanks Community Electric

Lighting

Vlad and his assistant installed both indoor and outdoor lighting for our parents home. We had LED canister lights installed inside along with some new switches. We also had about a dozen new outdoor lights for the yard installed. We purchased the outdoor lights separately for this project so that cost is not included in what Vlad charged me for the actual labor costs. He was punctual and did the job requested and quoted. I found Vlad's cost reasonable and in line with other electrical quotes. Vlad is very easy going and friendly which made the relationship great.

Rewiring the entire house

Working with Community Electric was an excellent experience. Everyone I worked with on the team was incredibly polite, professional and friendly. The project manager / estimator helped walk me through exactly what to expect in terms of scope and cost, and then the crew's leader made sure I was in the loop on how the execution of the plan was going. Taking on such a large project made me nervous as a first time home buyer, especially spending such a large amount of money! But the team made me feel at ease, and I saw that I was getting an excellent value for my money. The quality for the price was more than I expected - and it comes with a ten year warranty and peace of mind that everything is safe and functioning properly.
