On May 18/24 we purchased 2 - 12mm pre-cut clear 41"x68" tempered glass panels with chamfered edges and 4 - 41"x72" 12mm pre-cut clear tempered glass panels with chamfered edges at a cost of $3,449.82. My son, who is a contractor, installed them at our cottage. During installation, one of the panels shattered so we had to purchase another panel. The glass railing was part of a renovation of our deck for my older son's upcoming wedding at our cottage. The new panel was installed the day before the wedding. After it was installed, we noticed that the edges were not chamfered even though the bill says they are. The corners are very sharp instead of being smooth and rounded. When I called to complain I was told that there was a problem with that batch of panels from the factory and that they didn't have chamfered edges. We were told to just bring it back. I said that we couldn't do that because we had no way to do it. I am 75 and the panels are extremely heavy. My son, who installed them is out of the country, until next April. I feel that they should at least give us a new panel to replace it and deliver it to our house in Toronto (we have no way of picking it up). Hamid said he would email Head Office and call back by the next business day. That was Aug.30. On Sept. 3, I called back and Hamid said he would email them again and call us back. He never called back. On Sept. 10, I called back and asked to speak to the manager Mehdi and was told that he was with a customer and was told that he would call me back. It is now Sept. 29 and they have never called me back. I feel I should be given a new panel or be compensated for the cost of the panel ($229.67) for paying for something that was not what we were billed for. I don't want to be responsible for trying to remove the defective panel and possibly breaking it. Clearly they have no intention of doing anything to rectify their mistake. Very poor customer service. I would never recommend them.
