DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR MOVE! We went with AMJ because the salesman was very thorough and knowledgeable but when our move date came, they arrived 1 hour late and it went from bad to worse as the day progressed. I received an email from the Ops Manager the day before advising the team would arrive between 8:30 and 9am the next day and by 9:30 when they hadn’t arrived I sent an email to ask where they were only for him to respond that they were 10 minutes away. Some of the team arrived at 9:45, 2 came in their own vehicles, didn’t introduce themselves and proceeded to walk through the house with their snow-covered boots on surveying what needed to be done. Another 10 minutes later the truck arrived and the supervisor showed up and again, no intro, he just walked through the house with his boots on asking “what was included in the move”. They proceeded to put 1 runner down the hallway and 1 halfway through the kitchen, but nothing on the basement stairs, so by the end of the basement clearing the paint was worn off the stairs. No runner was put down on the floor in the basement, so that floor was water and salt stained to the point that it was white! There was no runner put down on the hardwood in the living room or family room floors, resulting in copious amounts of water and salt stains all over the floors – the same result occurred upstairs, they put a runner on the stairs but nothing in the bedroom on the hardwood so the floor was covered in salt stains and water. When it was time to leave, they rolled the runners up shaking the salt and water onto the floor and the walls instead of taking them outside. It took 5 hours to clean JUST the floors!!
Upon arrival at our new home it was the same treatment, minimal runners were laid down the floors at our new home were just as bad as the other house – these men didn’t even care, they took no regard for anything being damaged. They broke the side off of my desk as well there was salt stains on my brand new headboard and bedroom furniture and the mattresses were dragged through the water and salt on the truck resulting in water all over the outside of the plastic wrap that ended up on the mattresses when they unwrapped them as well they leaned the wet plastic wrapped mattresses on the freshly painted walls and salt stained water marks were visible down the walls and needed to be repainted. There were salt stains on every piece of furniture as well as scratches on bookcases. They really didn’t care. At the time of the estimate it had been indicated on the work order that it was a bulky shipment, however they only sent 1 straight truck, where they had indicated 2 straight trucks or tractor trailer, they jammed everything into one truck and as a result things were not cared for!!!
I chose AMJ Campbell because I was assured the team was professional. The quote wasn’t the cheapest and I trusted that our items would be cared for but this wasn’t the case. The men themselves were friendly but they really didn’t care for our items with no regard for quality. When it came time for them to leave, the supervisor Tom wasn’t interested in any issues that I tried to express, he just wanted to get paid. Completely unacceptable.
The claim process was just as bad. They just wanted it over, there was no regard for the unprofessionalism we experienced or the effort it took us to clean everything. They were apologetic at first but then when it came time to take responsibility they didn't. It took them over 2 months to respond and in the end gave us a measly $525.00. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
