I am currently working with Ram and so far the experience has been very good. He gave us a quote that came in much better than other companies. He explained the process and project clearly.

We needed to repair an existing extension on the back of our house by putting in a new foundation and wall on one side as well as underpinning another wall .
Ram and his team from CESI came to assess the problem, as ell as inspect the soil in the area of the original foundation. CESI then drew up the plan for the work and acquired the Building Permits from the City of Toronto.
Ram made a number of visits to inspect the site and advise our contractor on various issues.
The contractor and Ram worked very well together and did a great job.
What I really appreciate is how Ram went above and beyond to deal with City Building Inspectors to assure that the permit was closed. I would recommend CESI to anyone.

Without CES this project would have been a costly mess. Ram was introduced to the project just in time 07/16 and without his insights and knowledge of construction/underpinning there would not have been a viable lower suite or an effective off the street entrance. Ram was able to use new and approved enginnering techniques and have them readily approved by the City. I now have a legal duple in the City and I credit Ram and CES with this outcome.

CES was the engineering company contracted through True North for my basement Benchpinning project. My experience was very positive with this company. I only dealt personally with the CAD technologist Jeanette. She was professional and promptly answered any questions I had about the drawings.

After listening to what we wanted to do they looked through the house and provided many suggestions and options both structural and architectural. Being an old home built very close to the neighbours on both sides the project presented many challenges with the design ( following the new By-Laws ). Ram's team worked through all the issues and came up with a plan that gave us what we wanted and a way to do it cost effectively. Canada Engineering Services Inc. are a very knowledgeable company equipped with a strong practical understanding of new construction and renovations. This combination is rare. The drawings were completed quickly and precisely. We were very happy with the service and prices from Ram and would defiantly recommend him to anyone looking to get structural drawings.

Living in a very old house in downtown Toronto with some big questions about the quality of the rear foundation. Ram came from Canada Engineering Services Inc. to offer his professional opinion as to how or if the foundations should be fortified. He examined the house (and the attached neighbour's house) at length, got an extensive verbal history of the building and determined that the foundations were sound. He then explained two or three inexpensive solutions to protect the house from the freeze/thaw stress of a Canadian winter. He was courteous, knowledgeable, trustworthy and very helpful. Heartiest recommendation.

I was put in a tight spot with the mortgage company appraiser claiming that the house I was about to buy had cracked foundation that would affect the structural integrity, about 10 days before closing. I called him Friday at 6pm, and understanding the urgency behind it, he went in the very next day (which was a Saturday) to inspect and wrote up a report that same night and sent it in to the bank. Even before he wrote up the report, he called me to let me know his professional opinion so that I would be put at ease.
I really appreciated his responsiveness and willingness to help. I will definitely be using his services again going forward.
