Finley Roofing

Anyone who knows me knows I don't post negative reviews of companies online however we've had a very bad experience with Finley Roofing and they are now threatening to put a lien on our house when we never had any work done or even picked out any products for them to use.

Our experience with Finley Roofing....

They came and did a free quote for us on July 31st 2017. My husband wasn't home and it was just me and my 3 children who were inside. He showed me the quote and invited me to look at sample colours. I had to get back inside to my children, as one is 9 months and a 2 year old so they can't be left unattended. He was pushy and talked bad about other roofers. I ended up signing the contract to get him to leave.

We had a couple other quotes that came in at least $1000 cheaper and my husband ended up calling them to cancel on August 7th. They waited over a week to call us back and told us we owe them 15% of the quote of $7100 in order to cancel. We said we didn't have that much money and he said he'd call us back.

Another week later he called back and said we can make it all go away if we send an email money transfer that day for $250. We didn't send the email money transfer and called consumer protection agency. They stated that we have 10 days to cancel the contract, even though Finley Roofing said we only have 3 days.

On September 10 they called us back and said we have to pay $250 for their cost of cancelling since it was outside of the 3 days. I informed him consumer protection said we had 10 days which we were well within, he informed me he would be putting a lien on our house to pay the 15% cancellation fee because their contract means more than what consumer protection agency.

What is the point of consumer protection agency if businesses like this feel as though they can do whatever they want?

I had a few quotes but Dave at Finley roofing was amazing, friendly knowledgable and reassuring. I read reviews and was hesitant at first but having seen a number of roofs in my area I am glad I went with Finley roofing, they did a truly amazing job very efficient, its superior and they did an amazing job. One thing that struck me as having a corner lot was how many roofs have the exposed metal join on the 'crease' part of a roof, I don't like that look and Finley did a seamless roof where you don't see the joins. Thank you for protecting our home and making it look good in the process. I would highly recommend this company based on our experience.

Had Dave from Finley roofing give us a quote.I expressed concern with our pool. Dave explained how they lay plywood and tarps to protect the pool. Men were here working all day. Once the job was completed. Had a short conversation with Chris and payed him. I went out to the back yard to replace all out furniture and bbq that the had been moved and noticed a tear in our pool cover. I quickly called Chris. left a voicemail message and have not heard from him since.

We were very happy with the quick service Chris/David and their team provided. They were polite, informative and didn't try to "up-sell" us. The crew arrived on time and quickly placed protective tarps around our yard and carefully moved things out of their way. They all were courteous and efficient. Aside from the great looking roof, you can not tell that anyone had been working there. They left our yard very clean. We thought the quote was fare and I would recommend this company to friends, family and strangers.

I had Finley Roofing do my roof. I am a single mom, you would be amazed how many salesmen try to take advantage of this. Dave from Finley Roofing came to my house, was there for over an hour explaining about the type of shingle, duration of time it would take, what would be protected while the job was being done and also answered all my questions. The workers and the owner (Chris)showed up on time and were ready to start in 15 minutes. They were very organized and respectful of my flowers gardens. Just as other people have said you wouldn't even know they had been there except for the fact I have a new roof. As for cost, they installed the architectural shingles which were cheaper than the competition who were going to install regular ones for $600 more.

My neighbour had Finley Roofing do his roof. Called company from the lawn sign. Dave was out and I had a quote in 2 days. The crew showed up early in the morning job finished that evening.. Everything cleaned up and waste removed.Very happy with the service and the roofing job.

My roof was a disaster so I called Finley Roofing for a quote. They came to my house within 24 hrs of calling and provided a quote as well as various samples to choose from.

Once we decided on the shingle colour we called them back expecting an appointment in the coming weeks. To our surprise Finley Roofing was at our house bright and early 2 days later. When I got home from work the job was complete and the yard was clean. You wouldn't have known they were here except for the new roof!
