Very thorough inspection process. Took the extra time to find the cause of a baffling water leak. Has an impressive range of high tec devices for pinpointing thermal and moisture issues. Explains the whole process and his findings and recommendations very clearly. The report binder and PDF file are excellent. I was very pleased with the service provided by Don from structurally sound. He explained the survey process to me and taught me a lot about my new home. I really liked that once he completed his inspection of each floor in the home, he went over his findings with me and my family and gave us an opportunity to ask questions. I also really appreciate that he pointed out potential safety hazards that could endanger my child in the future, so that I can address them. I find that Don gives a balanced report of the dwelling, he is easy going and great to work with. He patiently explains basics to first time home buyers and is extremely thorough. I will gladly recommend Don to other home buyers in future.

Don did a home inspection, where he did an assessment on a gas fireplace. His report had some very concerning problems and he concluded that further evaluation by specialists were required. Two different technicians read his findings and both agreed that the inspector (Don) had no idea what he was talking about and that what was written in the report was not at all possible. Don also turned off gas lines and electric breakers in the seller’s house which caused them much grief and frustration as things that were previously in working order were not functioning properly after his home inspection. Don should remember that the houses he inspects are other people’s HOMES and that things should be left in the same state as before his arrival and tampering. Don should be more professional and respectful of seller’s homes.

We hired Don Daley from Structurally Sound Inc. He was excellent, very thorough in his reporting. His report included recommendations, which were very helpful in terms of safey and house maintenance. He was expensive, however, so this was our only concern.
