Crest Roofing

Crest Roofing did the flat roof of the infill that we bought five years ago. 2.5 years in, we had water coming through our master bathroom ceiling every time it rained. Crest came out once, said it was a small job and they would get to it. Unfortunately it just wasn't a priority for them, so the whole winter passed with assurances that they would come. When they finally did, again, they said it was a small job and would get to it. After much more nagging, much more leaking, they finally arrived to do the work, but when they opened up the roof they realized there was a serious problem. They could rip apart the plywood with their hands it was so wet. They put a temporary cover on (which tore at the edges and leaked more into the house), saying it was too much work and they refused to do it... The problem was, they didn't vet the roof to see what was the cause of the leak before ripping it apart. SO, another 8+ months of wrangling passed, this time with the builder and a lawyer, all the while we don't have a proper roof. Crest was finally strong-armed by the builder to come and fix the roof. That's when we discovered that the original flaw was due to their workmanship. The entire roof was rotten, the sides of the house were even rotten. Everything had to be redone. And they left without fixing a section on another part of the house which was also soft. SO, now I have to get other roofers out to quote repairing that section, and they've all commented on what a shoddy job was done by Crest Roofing. Safe yourself a whole lot of hassle. There is no quality control with this company, and they won't stand by their work. They may seem like "nice guys" but you are in for a huge headache if anything goes wrong.
