Standard Appliance Repair Service

I was suggested this company by fisher and paykel. Worst experience ever. They took 3 months to fix my fridge used faulty parts.
And wont give out any company details for any legal action. they wait it out so you give up because you cant wait anymore.
The company owner Henry was told by fisher and paykel tech company the parts he used was faulty but he still wont admit nor refund my money for the parts.
I wish I read the reviews before. Fisher and paykel should be cautious when sending out these techs. Who don’t know what they are doing. Half of the time the technician didn’t know what they were doing or didn’t have the right tools.
I am out 750$ And still with a broken fridge for past 3 months never use this COMPANY again.

Booked off work to have a technician come in to fix the drainage issue. I really thought the guy was trustworthy, but I guess he didn't know what he was doing. He pulled out the dishwasher and didn't even had the right tools to empty out the excess water, so he had to use my kitchen supplies. He was a really nice guy, but i'm furious the fact that I he didn't follow through. He said he ordered the parts for the dishwasher, such as the drain pump and motherboard from Whirlpool, and said customer service will get in touch with me within the next week or so. Thinking everything would be taken care of, I was just curious to see what the status was for the parts ordered. Only until i realized customer service said there were no updates, and nothing was ordered at all. She got in contact with him and said he advised me to contact the installer, but why didn't he tell me that in the first place instead of waiting??? We need to use our dishwasher! I wouldn't recommend this company, I really hope I don't get them again for service. Waste of my time and untrustworthy.

Warranty Electrolux dryer . Wow what horrendous service and knowledge of the product. Electrolux really needs to rethink who they send warranty items out to. This was crazy. Now I see I'm not the only one!!! Buyer beware karma will prevail!

Be careful when looking at reviews, I discovered there are 2 standard appliance companies. This review is related to the standard appliance that supports the halton hills region and is the company that LG recommended for my area.

My review spans 2 years because I was a repeat customer. I first had a leaky washer in 2015. Henri came in to repair it, first try I admit did not fix it, but he came back right away and it was working new. Added bonus I appreciated was the information he shared with me on cleaning the washer, what detergents to use, how to maintain it properly! Additionally he took a look at my ice maker that had happened to not be working and got that fixed in a jiffy as well ad hoc for me.

A year later my washer leaks, and I had such a good experience that I remembered that I wanted to call standard appliance to fix it. He came, fixed my dishwasher, re-mounted it properly, fixed the drain hose, and again gave me the do's and don'ts for dishwasher. He also fixed the lights on my microwave in a jiff and is getting me a new faulty light switch for my fridge. Honestly he made things easy and quick!!

I can say I like how they ask for your model and order parts ahead of time on phone so you are not waiting too long and reduces probability of second visit from the tech. He has always been on time for appointments. I like how he explaIns the machines and problems in detail. And most of all I like the added do's and don'ts he shares to help the longevity of my home appliances.

Kitchen Aide sent this company, as they advised under warranty. He said it was not under warranty took entire fridge apart, and turned off, found out no warranty and left everything all taken apart and not running as it was. Never use this company if you do not have too

We just renovated our kitchen and furnished it with beautiful brand new appliances. After we removed the plastic wrapping from our fridge we had noticed blemishes on the stainless steel doors. We contacted kitchen aid and they set up the appointment with standard appliance to repair the doors. The technician which is the owner came out the first time to inspect and ordered new doors.
These doors took 6 weeks to come in and once he returned he realized he had ordered the wrong doors and again we waited. He removed a piece of the fridge above the doors (built in fridge) and could not reinstall in. My wife came down the stairs to him using force to install in and instead damaged four doors above the fridge, he hardly appologized for this. It continues, we had the doors repainted and the same day they were installed he came back to try to reinstall the top piece and once again he damaged the freshly painted cabinet doors. This was the worst experience we have ever had with a contractor. After this we called kitchen aid and demanded another company. This company is not friendly at all and you cannot contact by phone as it is an answering machine,

The service person was very unfriendly. The company does not answer the phone. That makes it very difficult to communicate with the company to confirm or chance an appointment. I have nothing more to say.

I bought a wall unit oven from Sears who broke down in a month, and was told the first year guaranty was by Electrolux who in turn passed the job on to Transglobal, another company, this company use Standard Appliance Repair to do the work. The technician came and said it was the thermostat that needed replacement, and the part will come in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks nothing happened. I then called Transglobal and was told that the part will arrive on the 14th of Jan. On the 15th, I called and was told the part will come on the 22nd.

Up till now, I am still waiting for the part to come. God knows when or will it ever get here..

This was a direct energy appliance service plan covered job. My ice maker stopped working.

I called first in mid-March, 2015. 2 months and appointments booked so far. I would not recommend using them. Not life and death but shouldnt take 6 appintment and 2 months to get a simple repair to ice maker done because of bad scheduling and part tracking. After today's appointment, still not fixed since they never ordered the small valve which was diagnosed as problem more than month ago.

First appointment - technician didn't want to pull fridge out from wall so did a quick diagnosis, said he was ordering parts. Second appintment - when parts came and technician pulled out fridge from wall, discovered additional problem of leak in a plastic tube, so he wouldn't install parts he had and said would order tube. Tube took 3+ weeks to get.
Third appointment - different technican arrived but had forgotten parts and so he left.
Fourth appointment - The forgetful technician arrived with the play six tube but not the major parts. He said log said it was installed in second appointment but he acknowledged that clearly it hadn't. He installed tube but still broken.
Fifth appointment - no show.
Sixth appintment - going on right now. A water pump and not needed valve was sent. After messing around to unsuccessfully install new water pump (missing needed tube), repairman is about to leave and still not working. More parts to be ordered - well part identified on day one still needs to be ordered.

Try another company.

This company was recommended by Viking canada. As you know, you can only use an authorized Viking dealer. They came and repaired the issue, the tech was very friendly and helpful, but when I went to use the over, the same problem was there. They came and said it was a defective part and would order another. I have not been able to get them to return to do the job even though I have been promised the tech will call and come at least 3 times. Now they have changed their number, a woman takes the message and then do not return calls. I am putting in a formal complaint to Viking. Clearly this is a company to NOT use!
