Davis Renovations

We hired Davis Renovations again to assist with the creation of our new fireplace wood mantel. Daniel’s carpenter, Pascal, did an amazing job! As promised, they delivered on quality materials and workmanship on time. We are very pleased with the project!

Daniel did a fantastic job repairing our wall. We are very pleased with the result and our wall looks as good as new. Daniel was a pleasure to work with. He answered all my questions and provided a very reasonable quote for the job. He arrived on time and cleaned the work area thoroughly when he was finished. I would highly recommend him for any drywall work.

After having my kitchen pipe rust out and flooding the kitchen floor, I tried to replace the pipe myself and found even more damage further into the pipework. Realizing it was a bigger job than I anticipated I called Barry and texted him a couple of pictures of the damage and the work required. His experience in plumbing was valuable as he knew exactly what to bring and what materials he needed to buy even before seeing the damage done. As always, he was friendly, prompt and helpful. Always a pleasure to have Barry or his son Daniel doing what they do best!

Davis and Davis renovated our dining room, removing old plaster/lathe from walls and ceiling. They admirably adapted to a late choice of ours to remove a wall between the living room. Everything was smooth and service exemplary. The team hustled fast to finish in time for a Christmas party. The guys were incredibly gracious and conscientious. I would highly recommend them.

Throughout the projects they listened, acted as partners, cooperated and worked with the objective that the end result had to fit our required needs. The Davis team demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in all their dealings with us they were honest, polite and punctual. In the event of unexpected traffic delays they would call confirming arrival time.
Their completed drywall work within required deadlines was perfection. It included seamlessly sealing a large wall opening between the living room and hallway with drywall; as well as building a coat closet to exacting measurements and also fixing tiles as baseboard moldings on the new drywall areas.
Due to an emergency of unexpected water damage to the drywall in the furnace room they were very understanding and immediately accommodated us by removing, cleaning and dealing with the mold issues according to code; after the required waiting period the challenging furnace room with its many pipes etc., was dry-walled neatly and efficiently. The sites were always left very clean and all waste materials removed; the entire project experience involved both a successful end result and very pleased, satisfied homeowners.
Over the years we have done many renovations to our home and the Davis & Davis team are among the very best contractors we have had. We look forward to working with them again and would have no hesitation in recommending them. We recently contracted Davis & Son for a small plumbing job. Barry and Daniel quickly diagnosed and resolved our initial issue. While they were on site, we asked them to take a look at our front-load washing machine that recently stopped working. Earlier that day, my husband phoned several repair shops and was quoted repair costs ranging from $200 to $400. To insure that the machine was worth repairing, my husband asked Barry to take a closer look. Barry and Daniel soon discovered that the front and rear drive belts had both broken off. They both admitted to not being washer / dryer repair experts, but were able to provide some valuable advice. The cost of the parts and approximate time required to repair our front load washer would cost close to $400. This was / is almost the full cost of a new machine.

Had Davis & Davis Renovations in again to look after a pesky little leak on our old laundry tub taps. It was just a small repair but Barry and Daniel treated it with all the respect of a big project. Thanks again guys, great job as always!

Davis & Davis renovations were involved in much of the renovation process. When the kitchen was stripped down to framework including the "decorative" bulkheads, it was discovered that the clumsy bulkhead in the six window dining area bay window section actually concealed a heating duct. The replacement for this bulkhead involved considerable calculation, many angles to factor in, a great deal of work to construct and the end result was a stunning architectural feature. They also did a great job on the backsplash, redoing the entire powder room and many other parts of the total picture, which had gotten underway before we met.
They are reliable and very obliging and I plan to hire them for any future reno projects that happen.

We had Barry install a new Dishwasher, Kitchen Taps and Toilet recently and were very pleased with his service. Details from the most sanitary work conditions to completion were most impressive. We had only to enjoy our updated additions to our home and nothing for us to clean up at all. Would highly recommend.
