Koulani Contractors Yasir Alali and his crew were contracted for the reconstruction of the master bath. Work included demolition and removal of existing fixtures (e.g. glass shower, jacuzzi, vanity, tiled floor etc. ). The beautifully reconstructed bathroom now looks like a luxurious spa; some of the components include a walk-in glass enclosed shower, heated floor, vanity, tiled floor and1/2 wall plus painting of the hallway and tall landing. Yasir with his crew ( I.e., Ali, Al , plumber etc) worked together like a well oiled machine. The team carefully and diligently worked to meet the tight timelines in which the project had to be completed. Given the scope of the project the crew kept the worksite and all related areas of the home clean. Yasir Alali, the team leader kept his word and was fully committed in ensuring the completed project met customer satisfaction. In my career as former Senior Human Resources Advisor, I must emphasize that I was extremely impressed with the work ethics, professionalism, superb interpersonal skills of Yasir and his crew in dealing with clients. Together with their hard work, cheerful attitude and commitment to the job they were a pleasure to deal with. Due to his success on my project he has since done further renovations for me and also two of my friends. Some of the tasks include bathroom renovations, drywall painting, new cabinets, painting fence and other renovations. A&A Masonry was contracted to excavate, prepare sub-grade for paving stone in the rear yard measuring 8x8 sq., ft. Then lay new paving stones, finish with polymeric sand, assemble the prefabricated shed, and place it on the completed paving stone base. Tom and Luke assigned to work on the project worked diligently as it had a tight timeframe in which we expected it completed. Given the slope of the yard there were some issues. However, A&A Masonry committed to ensuring the completed project meets customer satisfaction, sent Tom and Bill to work on recommendations made by Greg. With their expertise they carefully corrected the issues to ensure the end result was effectively completed and also aesthetically pleasing. A special thanks to my initial contacts Libby, Justin but most of all Greg for his amazing attitude, commitment for excellence and his competency. Greg made a special return trip to review the work and made recommendations for corrections. We needed to replace our creaking, groaning garage door as well as the wooded back door to the garage that was falling apart. To our good fortunate we found the Custom Aluminum Company and after checking reviews on Homestars called them. The company salesperson who came, patiently explained, answered questions and helped guide us through the selection of our new garage door including the multiple aspects as it relates to an overhead garage door system. This helped us make an informed decision and best of all we were able to do it without any pressure to proceed. Custom Aluminum installed the new garage door together with its lifting system (belt drive, motor, opener etc) including the overhead casing and side trim. In addition, they also replaced the back door to the garage, with it's casing, trim and lock. The company sent skilled technicians who took pride in their work and handled their tasks effectively and efficiently. They also came on the agreed to day and time and everyone was an absolute pleasure to work with. The professionalism and commitment to ensuring the job was done right started with Steve Ciprovski the owner of the company. He did onsite inspections to ensure each task done by his technicians was perfect and to his complete satisfaction. Steve had his workman replace the bottom trim of two aluminum covered porch pillars that were in a state of disrepair at no extra cost. Though we repeatedly asked the company and Steve about payment of a deposit we were told not to worry as only after we were fully satisfied with the work would we be required to make the payment. The high quality of workmanship of the final product far exceeded our expectations. Custom Aluminum is one of the best companies we have ever dealt with and we will certainly use this company again. Tom was absolutely fantastic he went above and beyond the work we agreed upon i.e. repair three shingles and charged us on the original agreed to terms. He was polite and professional in his dealings with us. We saw pictures of the superb work done. We will always use Tom and his company for any of the services they offer.A Truly Fantastic Experience. Re Davis & Davis: Thank you Homestars for listing this dynamic father & son duo on your website. Their professionalism and work ethic was impressive; which included a written contract. Throughout the projects they listened, acted as partners, cooperated and worked with the objective that the end result had to fit our required needs. The Davis team demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in all their dealings with us they were honest, polite and punctual. In the event of unexpected traffic delays they would call confirming arrival time. Their completed drywall work within required deadlines was perfection. It included seamlessly sealing a large wall opening between the living room and hallway with drywall; as well as building a coat closet to exacting measurements and also fixing tiles as baseboard moldings on the new drywall areas. Due to an emergency of unexpected water damage to the drywall in the furnace room they were very understanding and immediately accommodated us by removing, cleaning and dealing with the mold issues according to code; after the required waiting period the challenging furnace room with its many pipes etc., was dry-walled neatly and efficiently. The sites were always left very clean and all waste materials removed; the entire project experience involved both a successful end result and very pleased, satisfied homeowners. Over the years we have done many renovations to our home and the Davis & Davis team are among the very best contractors we have had. We look forward to working with them again and would have no hesitation in recommending them.
