We had three quotes to totally to redo our front porch. Dan's quote was detailed and when we met further to review it he was good at clarifying details. Most importantly we ended up with the correct scope being described in the contract. His team built the porch based on a picture we had and enhanced it from there! We were very happy with the artistic knowledge and craftsmanship of his team. They added a few extras that we love... like storage under the porch. It was done on time and they were very neat and respected the neighbour's space too.

We began our renovation while I was away at the cottage. When I came home I was astounded to see the amount of detail Dan Hall had gone to to protect our home. An Ebola crew could take lessons from this man. Everything was tapped and secured so that there was a minimum of dust and dirt. Dan had been a project manager at the ROM when they added the Libeskind Crystal so he appreciates and knows the care required to protect.

Our home is 110 years old. Renovating such an old house is tricky. Because I did not wish to retile the shower, Dan was able to find a way to come at the plumbing from a staircase behind, and no tiling was disturbed.

We installed huge steel windows and doors in existing spaces. BlissNoram made the windows and Hall Developments did the install. The result is exquisite. Next year we will do the other half of the house and I wouldn't want anyone else to do such a tricky install.

We also took down our old garage and built a modern structure that has stopped traffic. Dan assisted me in designing it and had many great recommendations to bring it to its present glory.

Dan's crew and all his trades were polite, professional and very, very good. It was an easy renovation. My husband and I barely fought at all;-).

We moved into an older home a few years ago and had the upstairs bathroom renovated by another company. They were one of the lower quotes; however we were not happy with the quality of their work. This year when we decided to do some major renovations we focused on workmanship rather than quotes. After interviewing a few contractors we decided to go with Hall Developments. Their quote was higher than the others, but they provided a detailed scope of work, unlike the other contractors. We were also pleased with the quality of work we had seen in a house that they renovated.

Hall Developments installed new hardwood floors, stair treads, banister and custom nuel post. They also rewired the entire house, insulated our family room, tiled our upstairs bathroom (replaced tiles installed by the other company), painted our kitchen cabinets, installed new a countertop and backsplash. They finished the renovations in 5 weeks. There was always someone working on the house; it never sat empty.

Renovations can be a stressful experience, but Dan Hall, the President of Hall Developments, helped to minimize the stress. He was easy to reach, reasonable, and professional. We have a few hiccups during the renovation. For example, there was a problem with the oven installation, but Dan dealt with the issue immediately. I also had concerns about the stain on the custom nuel post, but Dan was very patient and worked with me to achieve a final product that I was happy with.

I believe that you get what you pay for. If you want quality work and great customer service than I would hire Hall Developments. Pamel, the Project Manager, and all the trades were great to work with and very professional.

After interviewing a number of contractors to complete a large commercial renovation, I felt an instant sense of relief when I met and hired Dan. Hall Developments took out a load bearing wall from my kitchen into my back den to fully open up the kitchen into the back den, create more of an open concept space, bring more light into the kitchen and make two small rooms into one great entertaining space where there is a breakfast bar between the kitchen and den where the load bearing wall was.
They had attention to detail prior, during and after the project. As well, when faced with some issues with a 100plus year old house they respected its bones/age and came up with solutions to keep the project on budget, on time and keep with the integrity of the plan.
