On The Level Home Renos

Fabulous! That is my word for the work that Al has done in our house. It has been one year since our kitchen reno and I still get so many compliments. The herringbone marble back splash and walnut shelves with the under mount lighting is so stunning. Our recent reno of our master bedroom and bath was such a huge transformation with the removal of some walls and the addition of others. The flow is so much better and the overall effect is so classy. Al is so great at what he does and his ability to stay on schedule and communicate with us each step of the way is always appreciated. detailed work in our kitchen reno was spectacular.

Al is great to have as your reno expert. He gets the whole family involved? I have used him twice so far with another job on the way. My upstairs bathroom needed a facelift and he was able to give me a quote, work with me as I purchased some of the items myself and adjust the costing of the job as required. He had the old bathroom torn out in a day! And the rebuild was just as fast!
I worked with him again this summer for hardwood flooring on our main floor. The entire floor needed covering. He tore out room by room to accommodate our living needs and laid the flooring beautifully. Again, on time, on quote. No issues. In the heat of this past summer!
I'm awaiting my next reno with eagerness. My downstairs bathroom. I know that Al will be efficient, clean and very pleasant.

Al did the kitchen renovation at our church. He came in on time and on budget (in fact slightly under budget). Al has also done renovations in my home - again, on time and on budget. What I treasure most about Al is his honesty, he's diligence and his work ethic. The members of our church have remarked about how beautiful the kitchen is. The design was mostly Al's with input from a few other individuals. Al welcomed their input. He is so easy to work with.

We wanted to convert a spare bedroom into an ensuite and laundry room on the second floor.

Al (On the Level) transformed the space to meet our vision, and made some great suggestions to enhance it further. He does all the work himself (plumbing, electrical, structural), works very quickly, and with attention to detail. Our reno is both beautiful and functional! We love our new space and have had lots of compliments on it.

We would recommend Al (On the Level) in a heartbeat! He is already quoting other projects for us.

What a transformation! We had a tired, very old deck that was pretty much rotting...and now, we have a 2-tier deck with beautiful pergola and outdoor lighting! Al did amazing work, as usual, top notch. Always punctual and always delivers exactly what you want. He worked with us to find a solution for outdoor curtain rods on our pergola....we wanted something that would stand the test of time.....and Canadian winters, and he delivered! From tear down of old, to digging post holes, to electrical...Al does it all and does a quality job. We have recommended him to lots of friends.....don't hesitate to call him...he does a quality job!

Needed a pot light, new drywall, ceiling fan reno to an old crumbling fluorescent drop kitchen ceiling.

Al (On The Level) did a fabulous job renovating our basement! He built a wall, finished the ceiling, did flooring etc etc etc. He works hard at a fast pace and communicated well with us. We are loving the finished product!

We had our kitchen reno done in June by Al Huurman at ON THE LEVEL HOME RENOVATIONS after our neighbours recommended him. What a GREAT experience! Al was very friendly and his price was VERY competitive. I was really pleased that Al did what we wanted and not what he thought we should have (as other contractors had told us). His working process was precise, clean and he was always there when he said he would be. PHONE AL!!!

We feel fortunate to have worked with On the Level Home Renos. Al is reliable, and does great work. He is fast, focused and organized, which helps make the disruption of renos almost pleasurable! Al has worked on a few projects at our 100 year old house. He most recently tore down our old exterior front porch, and re-built a new cedar porch with upper deck and
sliding door. We were able to collaborate on the design to create something unique for the house. We highly recommend him.

We have used this company for a number of things but our biggest project was the kitchen renovation. Fabulous company, dependable, trustworthy, and great workmanship. Al is a stand-up guy and would recommend him for any job. He also re-did our shower in the basement which was done poorly by another contractor.....we were extremely happy with the quality of his work, as well as the price. Can't say enough about them...ALL GOOD!
