We bought an older condo that needed to be completely redone. Sam was recommended by 2 different people. He gave us a reasonable estimate and timeline. He knew that we had a tight budget and wanted to do as much as we could ourselves. He was very good about helping us plan which things we could do on our own, and ways we could save money, like picking up materials ourselves and doing trips to the dump. Sam and his team were very easy to communicate with and answered questions quickly. We were very happy with the quality of work they did. Highly recommended!

“Refine & Design” was referred to us through our networking group, to which we both belong. The quoting process went very smoothly and we were content to have gotten all the work done we were expecting. The quality of work was overall excellent with some small flaws, which “Refine & Design” returned to fix without delay. “Refine & Design” staff were very presentable and on time throughout the project.

Our real estate agent had recommended “Refine & Design” and another contractor for our renovations. After going through a quoting process with both contracting groups we decided to work with “Refine & Design” who, in our opinion, provided a fair quote. We also found it very helpful that Sam, the owner of “Refine & Design”, was willing to aide us with everything from design ideas to budgeting breakdowns. However, we would like to see Sam provide invoices that clearly and thoroughly document the step-by-step processes and components of the renovation, to provide a clear idea of the breakdown costs of the project as it develops. It is also important that the customer is made aware of how the renovation might change throughout the process and how to adjust the budget to meet the intended finished project. Overall, we are very happy with the job that Refine and Design did for us.

New kitchen, stainless steel appliances, bathroom, bedrooms, closets, doors, sound proofing, flooring, lights and wiring were installed. We did run into glitches, however, Sam took care of everything and things went better than expected. I have to say that there isn’t a hotel that can beat our bathroom and we are very excited to have “Refine&design” come back and transform another bathroom and the kitchen.

Our home inspector recommended “Refine & Design” for our renovation project. We were very pleased with the ideas and multiple options “Refine&Design” brought forward that all were within a reasonable budget. Quoting process went smoothly and there was a day by day written progress report that I personally signed off on each day.

When working with “Refine&Design” we were pleased to have the project stay within budget based on our discussed quote. The level of professionalism really stood out when hiring “Refine&design” and how flexible the company was through the process. I could not have been more pleased with how Sam was always available to discuss the project and provide tones of options.

We had heard about “Refine&Design” through some friends of ours. We contracted the group to replace our tile floors and in floor heating after the previous contractor installed them very poorly. We also had “Refine and Design” work on our baseboards and still to this day, every time I look down at them I am happy with the finished project. They did go over budget but the service was wonderful and we had a great experience with “Refine&design” and very pleased with the end results.

We had Sam and Shane come in to do a restoration on a kitchen ceiling that had been damaged by a flood in our apartment building. They were great to deal with and got the job done under budget and on time. I recommended him to friends who had their entire kitchen/bathroom renovated and it looked beautiful. Top quality work. Very pleased.
