We needed to replace our electrical panel and Barry and his team did a fantastic job.

In addition to doing quality work and being very professional and efficient, Barry kept us in the loop throughout the entire process (including dealing with Toronto Hydro and ESA etc.) -- this was much appreciated.

We had a couple of pot lights that were inexplicably inoperable in our new place. He came to investigate, found that it was due to them being strangely tied into a faulty outlet. In addition to replacing the outlet and a busted dimmer switch, he rewired them in more sensible fashion.

We needed to find an electrician on a Saturday morning to restore power to our house and check electrical after our stove shorted the night before and the fire department turned off power to our house. Barry came within an hour or so of our call on a Saturday morning of a long weekend in order to do some work on a potential electrical short in our basement and our electric panel in order to restore power safely. He was thorough, honest, punctual and accommodating as well as being knowledgeable and providing expert professional advice. He made us feel safe in our home again! Would definitely recommend to others and will call him again in the future.

I was impressed how knowledgable Barry was around my vintage ceiling lamps. He and his co-worker Brendan quickly worked out a solution installing the sconces- now everything looks fantastic. These guys are honest and care about the customers.. like in the "old days" !

I've worked with Barry on several renovations over the last few years. He was introduced to me by another general contractor. He is an absolute pleasure to work with. His work is top notch and he is very reliable in terms of scheduling and punctuality. I've always been very happy with his work, it really is top notch, and plan to use him again as often as his schedule allows as my company expands.

This is the second time we have used Barry and he did a great job installing a spotlight on our deck as well as removing the old lighting. He also was able to find the problem with our garden lights and get them working again. Barry is very reasonably priced, arrives on time and highly efficient in the work he does. Barry Hopkins is great. Loves his career and loves working with other trades and really enjoys making clients happy. He goes that extra step, jump, distance to make the reno better, cleaner and always very slick. He cares where wires are run, he takes the time to run them properly, he cares how his work looks even it that means its hidden behind walls but Barry knows that his work is top notch, cause other trades say so, cause me the General Contractor says so and the few educated clients say so. Thats important to me and its clearly very important to him. I have hired Barry several times now and I never have to worry about him or his skill set. Its Hardcore. I called Barry to look at our outdoor receptacle as it was not working. He came out within a couple of days and to my embarrassment, it only required a reset. While he was at my house, I had him look at the outlet in the bathroom which had begun to cause problems. He replaced that for me and explained why I was having the problem. Really nice guy and would definitely use again.
