Hired Gillespie to replace my front 3 storey porch last year. The quality of the job was very poor and the workmanship was poor as well. I had pointed out many deficiencies that need attention and were not addressed. It was so poorly done that I told him I would not pay him if these items were not corrected. He refused and I did not pay him for his work as it was so bad.

After a freak windstorm, much of our vinyl siding tore off on one side of our 2- storey house. The house was somewhat new, about 9 years old. In a panic, we called a few companies to see if we could get a repair as soon as possible.

Ryan provided us with the most reasonable quote and somehow he was able to gather the matching vinyl strips that were required, and fixed it our siding the next day, much to our satisfaction and relief.

We also recommended them to my parent's house for a roofing repair and they were also very satisfied with the stress free dealing that they had with him.

The basic construction work was reasonably well done. Finishing work (drywall finishing, flooring, trim, cabinet installation, molding) was somewhat sloppy - drywall seams not taped (paint cracking after 1 month), small gap between 2 floor boards, floor board damaged by workers and never repaired properly (they didn't know how), cabinets not level, molding mis-cut and not level, cabinet corner layout not functional (our idea originally, but were never advised by contractor or cabinet supplier that the doors will not open properly in that layout, even when I asked specifically about exactly that). Work was done fairly quickly though. Would recommend for simple building work but not for kitchens or finishing work.

Ryan from Gillespie handyman services was at our house to install 2 doors. He did a great job. Ryan helped pick the right doors. He was able to squeeze us in on short notice as we wanted to list our house right away. Ryan worked quickly and efficiently but made time to be social and friendly. We have had Ryan and his team do other jobs for us and have been pleased and would recommend him to anyone
