Appliance Repairman

Sent single repair person did not even ask me for the details of the problem. I explained the symptom and error code. Advised him that I did do some research and the issue was either temp sensor or control panel. The repair guy never even removed his coat. I started immediately to get worried that his coat buttons and zipper were going to scratch the oven door and pantry cabinets. His first attempt was to remove the door. Did not even know how to remove the oven door from the wall oven. Then removed the screws from the convection fan at the back. Spins the fan and assures me that he was just looking to see if the fan was stuck … could have done that without removing the cover. I suspect he thought the convection fan was a cooling fan. Now I am realizing there is a problem with this guy / company. Now he closes the door and takes a picture with his phone. He advises me he his going to send the picture to his boss to seek advice regarding how to remove the oven from the wall. He returns from his call with his boss to advise us that the “scheduler” should have sent 2 people because it was a convection oven (makes no sense … maybe if he said it was a wall unit the needed 2 people) but he assured me 2 guys were not required for the wall unit. He could not even get the trim of to get at the screws that disconnect if from the cabinet.

I asked him to STOP and contact his management team. They could not get access to their management team that night 6:00 PMish. He makes out a invoice for a service call for $90 which we promptly assured him that would not be paid because their office did not even send the correct number of people to do the initial investigation. Oh and the 2 people would service would be at least $380 + parts (heat sensor $250 and control board $5-600 which was on the Internet for $250). Next day the “management” called my wife and my wife updated them accordingly. The “management” assured my wife that if the invoice was not paid, it would be sent to collections.

VERY POOR SERVICE.
