I hired Nick and Matt from "MM Flooring and renovations" also known as "basement brothers" to do main floor renovation paid $30,000 and stopped showing up to job after 1 month of work and didn't show again until 2 months later. They didn't finish job and didn't provide a receipt for which we agreed on in our contract. craftsmanship was horrible eg. railing spindles were secured by nailing through top of hand rail! Spindles not evenly spaced, exterior door not hung plumb or square, door beaten with a hammer to stop rubbing because not squared in jamb properly, laminate floor not completed, nails driven through laminate floor, trim not completed, closet doors not installed, transition pieces not installed. list goes on.

Long story short. Work began at brains home. First conversation before starting work was...it is a rental property the quality doesn't have to be good. Once he saw our workmanship was better then he asked for he began asking for more work,which we eventually conducted. All was going well until About 95% of the job was complete asked our company to write two FAKE FALSE invoices stating that we have done work on his Barrie property totalling higher totals . He had made this request so he said he can recieve a pay back from the government !! We have this paper stating his address in Barrie and requesting exterior landscaping work which our company does not even specialize in!! All this from a government worker who is in the fire department ....once we did not meet his sneaky request he decided to immediately post this review with nonsense allegations trying to ruin out almost perfect reputation. It is sad that good contracting companies have no protection only customers! He posted pictures of his old section of his home we did not even do work on.....be aware of this type of customers. Next time Brian post real reviews on how you asked a good trust worthy contracting company who catered to you to provide you with false invoices! He was reported to the fraud department to the government.
