We had some problem with the outlets in our bathrooms. Eventually there was a violent short. It turned out to be less of a problem then we thought. Karel handled this professionally, carefully explaining what had likely happened and replacing the outlet with a better, safer version.

it was a pleasure to have karel do our electrical wiring for our basement renovation. karel is extremely freindly and professional and that showed in his quality of work. I had karel come in January for the electrical ruff in which was fully ESA passed and asked karel to give me 3 months to get my basement ready for him to come back and finish to which he said no problem and to just let him know when we were ready. Well 3 months later karel was back to install all outlet plugs and light fixtures we had purchased. I am 100% satisfied with everything karel did for our renovation and would HIGHLY recommend his work.

Mr. Karel Dekoning did the communication wiring in my entire house. The job he did was very professional, clean and functional. I would like also to mention that Karel is a contractor that is trust wordy, honest and punctual. I recommend Karel as an excellent contractor that takes his clients serious and provide them with outstanding services.

I wanted to find a contractor that was able to do all of the work without bringing in different tradesmen to complete the job. After receiving various quotes from other Generator installers, I found that each contractor had to subcontract the work to various trades. Mr. de Koning is licensed not only as an electrician but also a gas fitter which was what I wanted.
The problem when hiring a contractor that would subcontract other parts of the work out was if they didn't show up on schedule or they were conflicts from one trade to the other.
Eliminating that option was my best decision.

The pipes in my home burst and through a nightmare series of events, I was left without power. I had an emergency situation involving my electrical panel and Karel(whom I'd never met before), came immediately to my assistance. He walked me through every step of the process and was so knowledgeable, kind and patient. What a blessing for me that while I was desperately scrolling through a recommended list of electricians, he was the only one that was available at the time.
After dealing with Karel, the ordeal and extreme stress of the damage to my home, became much easier to bear.
I have been a realtor for over 25 years and rarely come across this exemplary level of service. I discovered that Karel is not only a master electrician, but a certified gas, Hvac and generator technician as well. Guess who I'll be calling when I'm ready to purchase a new furnace and air conditioner?

Karel explained the process for attaching the fixture and switch, and voila! Light! I was pleased to know that the ceiling lamp was securely attached and safe for my child.

Karel was extremely helpful in installing our cooktop and fixing our garage light. He responded to us quickly, and gave us sound advice about how to handle an unfortunate situation (our previous electrician overcharged and failed to complete the work we paid him for). Karel stepped up and finished the remaining tasks, and provided suggestions to where we could report our previous electrician. He was friendly and professional -- highly recommended!

Karel, installed a new gas line for us in our kitchen with minimal disruption and also replaced our relic of an electrical panel.

The old electrical panel was a rat's nest of wires from many years of previous owners. Karel took the time to do the job really nicely and now the electrical panel is way more roomy and super tidy!

Karel did a wonderful job installing a new gas range, and hooking up a new dishwasher, moving out the old ones. I would certainly use this company again, given the care they took not to scratch or damage the appliances or our home.

After the installation, I noticed a leak under my sink. I called Karel and he came the same day to fix it. It turned out that the leak had nothing to do with the dishwasher, but he didn't charge me for the visit. He even realigned the dishwasher to a more flush placement. Thank you very much!
