Time to fix that bad builder roof
For at least 5 years I had spent about $2k fixing my roof after every heavy windstorm. Anywhere from one to a dozen shingles would blow off. I finally got fed up as the damage (number of shingles) was getting severe.
I decided to get it fixed. I had seen signs posted in some areas in the city and many times seen Marriott's Roofing trucks around my neighborhood. I thought they must have a good reputation. So I gave them a call and got directly talking to Chris. His was very friendly and understanding of my situation. Additionally, as of the recent wind storm, I wasn't the only one calling. I appreciated that he was able to come by within a day and go up and take a look at my roof. Within a few hours he had one of his guys over to make a temporary repair job while he worked on a quote. I had a quote within 3 days on which we agreed to a price and a shingle type. His price was about equal to others, with known reputations, but his friendliness and understanding was the selling point. (there are some real shady characters out there) He was very knowledgeable about my type of roof and wind demands (backing on to an open area) so he suggested only a certain type of shingle. I had several brands and colors to choose from. He promptly put me into his queue of work. I think it was within 3 weeks that his guys were on the job. They striped the 2400 sqft of old shingles off and put new ones on with 1 day!! Incredible. They took care not to damage the bushes and put up protection on the walls of the house so no falling debris would damage or mark the walls. For being in a bad situation, I am really happy how Chris took care of me immediately (quick patch job) and then saw it through to the end. He's a great guy! I would recommend you give them a call when you're looking.
