Minor Detail Matters

Preparation of the work area:
Setup home protection, floors covered with paper to protect from
damage, house hold items covered with plastic, areas not being
worked on divided by plastic walls to minimize dust, debris removal,
dust removal and final clean up of protection. All of the above work was done neatly and efficiently to protect our living space. Benjamin and his assistant helped move furniture to another room to avoid any possible damages. They also removed and help store three French doors the were also in the area to avoid any problems.
Benjamin was very concerned and considerate of the upheaval and inconvenience this project would have on our day to day living. He made every possible effort to accommodate us every step of the way. We were kept well informed as we progressed from one phase of the work to avoid any confusion.
Drywall & Taping Phase:
Removed the bulkheads at the front of house and back of dining room, patched
4 holes where they had been removed and patched 3 electrical box holes from old thermostats. They just blended into existing drywall. They installed new drywall in the dining/living room over the existing popcorn ceiling and taped with 3 coats of
plaster and skimmed the entrance hallway with plaster. This phase was expertly finished. You wouldn’t know that the bulkheads ever existed. The degree of accuracy in terms of the smoothness and finish was impressive. When I completed painting the ceiling with the final coat there wasn’t any evidence of undulations (hills and valleys in the drywall). Our popcorn ceilings were history thanks to
