I hired David to do a complete stucco job on a large renovation project based on review's , he was late to start and then installed the stucco when the weather was too cold , it cracked everywhere , also his crew left a mess on the windows and grounds , it took him one year to come back and fix the job but there are still cracks

Alrighty... first of all I'd like it to be clear to anyone reading
that this review is from a low rate general contractor NOT
the homeowner of the project.Here is the full and true story.
I was hired to do a rock dash recoat in May 2021 that was
supposed to start in JULY. The general contractor did not
contact me until LATE SEPTEMBER to get it done, HE was late, I
was not. After scratch coat was applied I SPECIFICALLY told
him it needed to cure for a min 30 days before finish but he
insisted that I apply the finish earlier because "he had
money tied up on the renovation" THIS IS WHY IT CRACKED not
the weather. I told him I would fix it the following season and I
did just that. There were supply chain issues due to the fact
it was a custom finish that no one else in Calgary does, so I
didn't get there until early august, not a year later. I was however in contact with the homeowner often as we waited for the material to be produced and delivered from bc.This review was posted out of spite by the general contractor because I decided to deal directly with the homeowner to fix the job (after I found out from the homeowners that he charged them a substantial amount more than my estimate for doing nothing) This rubbed me the wrong way as I felt it was unfair to the homeowners and myself. (He also asked me to lower my estimate by 1000 dollars because it was supposedly out of there budget, very underhanded business practice). Considering all of this sketchy contracting by the GC I cut ties him completely and was in contact directly with the homeowners to fix the project completely free of charge. Stucco is a messy trade and we made sure to clean everything with a fine toothed comb when we fixed the job.
I sprayed the entire home free of cost to the homeowner and they are extremely happy with the results. It is a prime example of the beauty of cementitious pigmented stucco and turned out magnificent. I spoke to them after this
review was post and they said they are completely satisfied and no cracks were present (there are pictures of the home in my album)My work speaks for itself as do the 60 plus other reviews I

skilled and honest stucco contractor in Calgary. My passion for the trade of stucco is unmatched and it is unfortunate that this poor review was posted because of spite. At least it won't be recent for long because I get 10 star reviews on every job I do, there is no one better Stucco Dave!
