We put off getting our 2 kitchen skylights fixed after they started to sporadically leak because we were concerned about getting the right contractor who could do the job quickly and at the right cost. After getting quotes and timelines from a couple of companies we came across The Roof Technician on HomeStars. After talking to Arta in the office we knew we were in good hands. Ilir came over to review the situation and provided us with great options and a very reasonable quote. The work was done quickly, cleanly and with minimal disruption to the family (quite the accomplishment in a room that is central to the household). Ilir was a master at matching shingles so you could not tell which ones were replaced. And he even came back to fix a couple of shingles on another part of the roof.

my old skylight started leaking I got a company from home stars I got $900 for repair which I think was very high cost, I tried home technician he said it cost $400 to repair but I wan't do it coz it will leak again and No guarantee!! he suggested new ones with 5 years guarantee and can be done in a week. we agreed and after 1 week they did it in a perfect, quick, and very proffessional way.
Ilir and his team were great inside and outside the house, I recommend them highly.
I am not sure if 2 skylights would cost $3000 !! but I am satisfied.

My old skylights were 37 yrs old and after the last spring storm, one skylight leaked. My roof is about 9 yrs old. I suspected another skylight was leaking internally (downhill). I had 5 companies assess my roof. The Roof Technician, Ilir, did a meticulous analysis of my roof and very clearly communicated his findings. His roof analysis also coincided with the roof analysis of a former roof expert who could not do the job at the moment. The other roof quotes from other companies were claiming other/more problems, and the quotes were much, much higher.
I trusted Ilir and he did a great job. The new glass skylights look great and he replaced all water damaged plywood/internal painting of the wall. Exposed roof nails were also taken care of. The new skylights have also passed the "rain" tests! I highly recommend this company.

I noticed a leak in my ceiling just under the lower part of our roof. First, I was so impressed that after contacting The Roof Technician through Homestars they actually emailed me back the next day! I had been trying for weeks to get other roofing companies just to return a call, never mind to even come up and give me a quote and follow through with it. Ilir came to Oakville shortly afterward talking to him and gave me a quote. The work was completed within 10 days of the initial contact. Turns out I didn't need any shingles replaced but the problem was a portion of the eavestrough and some downspouts in the front of the house. They matched the colour perfectly to the rest of the eavestrough too. I was also thrilled that they did a quick fix of a hole in the roof of my cedar shed that I discovered while they were here and didn't even charge me for that. The crew was very neat and polite and I felt they were being very honest with me. They are a pleasure to work with and I will not hesitate to recommend them to others. Excellent customer service and a job well done!

I had a really good experience with The Roof Technician. We called because we were curious about what it would cost to replace our roof. The technician came the very next day to do an assessment. We were told that they should repair a portion of the roof and that if we wanted we can hold off 1 more year for a replacement. That was a relief! We called within the year for the full replacement because we felt so comfortable with the owner and workers. It’s really nice to have people that give you an honest option. The workers came and went without any signs of construction- not even 1 nail left behind. We are very happy with their service and have recommended them to family and friends.

The Roof Technician is a company that you want to do business with. From the initial consultation to the finished roof, they were thoroughly professional. We were advised of the initial estimate as well as recommendations in a helpful manner. The quality of our new roof and evestroughs not only met but well exceeded our expectations. Not only that but we have two young children so the roofers were extra careful and making sure the area around our house was kept immaculate. We haven’t found one piece of scrap metal, shingle or nails. You can really tell they show pride in their work and work area. They also have outstanding customer service. We would 100% recommend The Rood Technician.
