AGM Renovations

We hired AGM after getting quotes from 3 different contractors, they were in the middle of the range, they had great options for quality finishes, their process and showroom makes it easy to understand what you are getting, including options for upgrades. They are pretty transparent throughout the whole process, their trades were very respectful of our home and kept things clean when they are coming in and out. Everyone always responded to emails and phone calls. They were also nice enough to install my TV wall mount which they didn't have to do. We are very happy with our finished basement.

AGM Basements did a great job, on time, on budget and for a fair price on our large basement renovation. The quality of the work is excellent and our project manager always kept in touch to let us know the upcoming schedule. All of the trades were respectful of us and our home. We appreciated the extra effort, and tiny details that came up along the way, such as connecting our new gas stove. My husband and I would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them. We're very happy with their work!

We were in a bind with a child moving home right after Christmas and needed our basement renovated ASAP. It was a mess, I completely doubted that anyone could get it done within our budget. We met with Amardeep and Svetlana in November, were wowed by the suggested design options and price and we committed. This is not our style! Usually we have to over analyze. Project started on time and ran like a well oiled machine. Johnny our project manager was amazing. We called with a question or request and he responded instantly. The tradesmen were professional, did great work and cleaned up when they left. Johnny, like any customer we can be picky but you never blink. Just got it done. We highly recommend AGM. Thank you from the entire family.

When we were getting estimates to finish our basement, AGM came recommended, and after having gotten other quotes as well, was ultimately who we contracted. While there were some difficulties in the beginning trying to work through the contract based on the estimate as well as perfecting the layout and design, I think anyone who has ever been through a reno (of any kind) can say that one must be prepared for some complications, changes and unexpected issues.
Having said that, everyone we have dealt with at AGM has been very pleasant to deal with and are always willing to take care of any concerns or questions. All the tradesmen that have come in have all been polite, professional and have done a fantastic job! But the one person I am most thankful for throughout this process is our PM, and I am not referring to our Prime Minister, but to our project manager, Johnny. In my opinion, he didn't just do his job. In fact, he didn't even just do it well. Johnny went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations in making sure that things went smoothly, according to plan and that we were happy with everything. I didn't have to worry about anything knowing he was taking care of it all, and he did. AGM is lucky to have him and so were we. If you are as lucky and get him as your PM, rest assured you will be in good hands.

Jason was friendly and knowledgeable in helping us understand the details of what we should expect when planning a basement renovation. He made it very easy for us to build a suitable quote for a basement renovation that will be sufficient to meet our family's needs.

All throughout the meeting, we particularly appreciated not feeling pressured by typical sales tactics to spend beyond what we can realistically afford.

Customer service is fair. The designers are friendly and accommodating and will work with you to reach a good design. The materials are reasonably good quality. The implementation of the project started good but the three weeks timeline was never realized. Our project dragged for over 9 weeks. My biggest disappointment was recently when I finally moved the tv to the finished basement, the connection was not working properly. Rogers will have to send a technician to figure out the problem. Small little things could have made our experience a lot more positiv. In general we are satisfied but not overly satisfied as we expected.

Kam was fantastic. He answered all of our questions and guided us through the quote and contract with ease. He answered our many many questions with patience and expertise. We are looking forward to working with the team to get our basement done next month.
