Crew did a great job on 140 ft. of 9 foot tall hedge. What would have taken me a whole weekend to accomplish they did in an hour and a half. Very polite and professional people and I'm more than happy to recommend their services.

The crew came today and did an excellent job. And the clean up was very well done. Looking forward to seeing the crew next September. Thanks guys.

I contacted Best Green Hedges for a quote to do a vigorous trim of some pretty large cedar hedges in my backyard. They got out to my place, took a look, and provided a competitive quote really quickly. More importantly, their team did excellent work. The hedge looks crisp and clean (and it is still healthy) and they tidied up perfectly after the trimming work was done. I will use this service again in the future. Their staff were also uniformly polite and helpful. This was the kind of experience I hoped to have with this business.

I am a repeat customer of Best Green Hedges because of their professionalism, customer service and attention to detail. Every year I have BGH come I am always impressed in the quality of work and how clean they leave the yard. You'd never tell they've been there if it wasn't for the trimmed hedges! The team of two that comes assess, plan and assess each other's work to ensure the best looking hedges. They are even cautious of birds nesting and don't disrupt other wildlife too much. Also, booking and payment interactions are easy and the staff is always friendly. They can easy accomodate my needs and offer a great service!

Did good work but did not honor the timeline or the discount I was promised. The employee who came to do the quote started measuring with half a meter on the instrument and measured a line that was not straight. I then had to call him about 5 times to get him to send me the quote. After about a month I finally received the quote and decided to contact the owner, Sheldon, after seeing that their quote came in a couple hundred dollars higher than some of their competitors. I had heard from a hedge trimmer in the industry that they do good work so I should go with them so I figured it was worth a shot to get a more competitive quote.

I was pleasantly surprised when Sheldon obliged my request to lower the quote by a few hundred dollars. He sent me the quote and said someone would be in contact about two weeks before they would be installed. After not hearing from them for a number of weeks I called again and left a message. To my surprise someone showed up the very next morning, even though they had not confirmed with me as to whether or not this would be a good time. Which in itself would have been fine, but then the owners brother, who happened to be the installer that day re measured, by walking, the perimeter of the hedge to be laid and said it was actually 4 meters longer than I had been originally quoted and they would have to charge me more. We did move the line where the hedges would be laid back by one meter. Since the layout was an L shape this should have only increased the measurement by one meter, not four.

Initially I just said no and that isn’t how business is conducted. You don’t give someone a quote for work and then show up saying it’s going to cost more, certainly not for a simple enough job like this where there shouldn’t be any surprises. I was in a rush to get to work so I said ok to paying $200 more for the job. Sheldon and I had previously discussed the job being $1200 tax in. I have the quote for this amount. So I assumed $200 more meant $1400 tax in. When it was time to pay I was sent an invoice of $1400 + tax! Understandably frustrated that one extra meter of hedge was now costing me nearly $400. I refused to pay the extra amount.

Sheldon went on to argue that the measurement was indeed 15 meters not the 11 we originally measured or the 12 from adding one meter to the job. I proceeded to argue that I don’t see how this could be the case since the original estimator got 11 meter and was very liberal with the line and instrument he used, but that regardless they should honor the amount quoted plus one meter.

I have since gotten a lawyer involved and we may have to escalate the issue to court. I offered to pay the $1400 flat to just put the issue to rest but he refused. I now have the impression that this whole effort was calculated on their part to come in with a low quote and Jack the price upon installation!

It’s a shame because they did do good work, but this is not the way to grow a business and certainly not a way to treat customers.

I have used this company over the past 5 years. The men that have come over to trim the hedges have always been kind, courteous and super polite. They did a wonderful job on my hedges and cleaned up well after they finished. I would highly recommend this company. Best Green Hedges really live up to their name.

Have used Best Green Hedges for our large hedge. Called to see when we could book for this year. They had checked with all the right gov't agencies and could operate by following all the right social distancing and health regulations. They came today and did an excellent job as usual. They were very cognizant of and followed - worked following all the appropriate social distancing regulations including sanitizing anything they touched like the gate latch etc. Very impressed with health and safety as well as price & quality of excellent job done! Thank you for great job!

When a company is timely, workers arrive on time, do the work quoted and even will go the extra mile, people need to know about them., Polite, hard working, and left things tidy. Highly recommend and will return to every time,

I have two large cedar bushes I hadn’t trimmed in about four years. I’m a senior and didn’t feel comfortable getting on a ladder and trimming them myself anymore. I figured I’d need to hire someone but wasn’t sure if the company that trims all the huge hedges in the area would even be interested in such a small job. Last summer I got a door hanger advertising Best Green Hedges and figured it wouldn’t have been left if they didn’t do smaller jobs. This year I decided the bushes were looking really unkempt so I looked up Best Green Hedges on HomeStars and saw all the reviews were positive so I contacted them.

I filled in the contact form for a free estimate last Saturday. On Sunday, I got an email from Sheldon to say they’d forwarded on my contact info to their estimator. On Monday, I got an email from Colin to say he’d be by soon to do the estimate. He showed up that afternoon to do it.

He said he’d put me in the queue to get the hedges trimmed. He said he’d be in touch once my job came up and it could take a few weeks which wasn’t a problem for me. I was surprised when I got a voicemail on Thursday to say they’d be there on Friday. A couple of fellows (forgot to ask their names) showed up on Friday morning to trim the hedges. They did a great job and took away all the clippings.

I was very happy with the job and very impressed with the company’s communication keeping me in the loop all the way through.
