On a Thursday afternoon, we discovered a leak under the kitchen sink related to an old water filtration system we had. Friends recommended we contact Kevin at Plumbing Express. My wife called him around 4:00 pm and informed him of the issue we were having. He made a few suggestions on how we might temporarily fix the problem. His suggestions helped somewhat but a service call for a permanent solution was necessary. He told my wife he'd be over the next day between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. We thanked him for his assistance.
The next morning, Kevin arrived at our home at 10:00 am, ready and raring to go. I showed him the issue were were having and he reassured me that there would be no issues when it came to the repair but if he encountered something out of the ordinary, he'd give me a heads up and we could discuss the issue further. During our initial discussion at the sink, I asked him if it would be possible to add a couple of shut off valves to the taps and service the cartridge in the Moen faucet. He said he could do both.
Before 11:00 am, Kevin had removed the old filtration system, placed a stainless steel cover on the whole where the spout had been, installed the two shut off valves, serviced the faucet and added some flex pipe between the copper lines for the faucet and the PEX lines from the basement. The total price for the service call, parts and labour and taxes was extremely reasonable. He even disposed of the old filtration system for us.
I have no hesitation in recommending Kevin and Plumbing Express for your plumbing needs. I know my wife wants to replace the kitchen faucet in the 'next little while' and a hose bib from the basement into the garage will need to be replaced 'soon' also.
