New Furnace, Media Air Cleaner, Thermostat, Humidifier and Water Tank

Best Company Ever!

At the end of April 2019, we called Williams Home Comfort to schedule replacement of our furnace, water tank, thermostat, media air cleaner and humidifier.

The day of our scheduled furnace replacement, the crew arrived on time, tarped our floor leading to the basement, removed the furnaces, and installed the new ones. Before leaving, they tidied the work area, removed the tarps, and tested everything to make sure it was working.

Chris is willing to install a new thermostat (Temporary) while we are waiting for the new Daikin One + show up in Canada.

Within days, Williams Home Comfort forwarded us the necessary information to book an electrical and a furnace inspection with the city.

Everything is working well and is as quiet as promised. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a furnace replacement.

Furnace and Air Conditioner Replacement

Best Company Ever!

At the end of March 2019, we called Williams Home Comfort to schedule replacement of our two furnaces and our air conditioner with higher efficiency models. Approximately two weeks before the work was to begin, one of our twenty-year old furnaces stopped working. At the time, the weather was just barely above 0ºC. When we called Williams Home Comfort, they came out later that day, and offered us three space heaters to use, absolutely free of charge.

The day of our scheduled furnace replacement, Josh and his assistant arrived on time, tarped our white carpet leading to the basement, removed the furnaces, and installed the new ones. Before leaving, they tidied the work area, removed the tarps, and tested everything to make sure it was working. The next day, they came to replace the air conditioner and do a final test. Everything worked beautifully. Before leaving, Josh cleaned the area well.

Within days, Williams Home Comfort forwarded us the necessary information to book an electrical and a furnace inspection with the city. When the inspectors came out, everything passed, and one inspector mentioned that he was very familiar with Williams Home Comfort, and that they did excellent work.

One month later, we have used the furnaces, the humidifiers, and the air conditioner. Everything is working well and is as quiet as promised. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a furnace or air conditioner repair/replacement.

New Furnace Install

These guys know what they’re doing.

Second time we have used Williams. First was a new AC install in 2015 (Trane). This time was to replace my two aging Carrier furnaces with new Daikin units. Chris (owner) came out himself to quote and is always transparent. Spent a lot of time answering questions I had regarding brand, technology, sizing, air quality, thermostat and more.

Our two new Daikin two stage furnaces were installed in -30 climate in February and took two days as promised. They were careful to stage the work so we didn’t lose heat for more than an hour or so. Install crew of two was professional and cleaned up after the work was done.

Minor chimney related work had to be done in May as they have to wait for better weather which is understandable.

Another fantastic experience with Chris & co. Thanks for the great work.

Furnace replacement

Furnace died Sunday night during a warm spell in January. Williams was out for a quote next day. Quote was comparable to others we had recieved in past. Offered us space heaters if we needed them. Work was done in about 4-5 hours. They tidied up after themselves and it looked like they were never here. When the city inspector came the next week he commented on the quality of work as well.

Furnace replacement and exhaust venting reconfiguration

Our 22-year old Lennox mid-efficiency furnace had finally failed after many years of problems and issues with that thing. Ultimately it died due to a very badly cracked heat exchanger, pretty scary. And of course, it failed right at Christmas time. We did some research first and then called three reputable local furnace installers based on reviews, ratings and types of furnaces that they carried. One of these companies was Williams Home Comfort (WHC). We had a pretty good idea on the furnace efficiency type we wanted and the features that we were interested in getting since we wanted to upgrade from the old.

Of the three quotes that we received, WHC's quote was somewhere in the middle, but we chose them mainly because of the initial visit to the house and the warranty on their units. Of all the quotes we had, WHC was the only company that actually demonstrated that they knew what they were doing. The tech that showed up took the time to properly look at the existing layout in the basement where the furnace lives, outside where the venting pipes penetrate the basement wall, measured all distances, reviewed the existing supply & return air ducting configuration, took plenty of pictures of the system, sketched out the existing system and offered suggestions pertaining to the actual installation rather than trying to upsell future services and a furnace with more features. Plus, they were able to install the furnace the next day!! I cannot say the same about the other companies. Of the other two companies, one guy actually showed up without anything to take notes on, took no more that 10 minutes and appeared very disinterested in anything. The other guy had an unpalatable level of sarcasm and was mostly interested in specifying a furnace capacity and features that we were not interested in, plus all the wonderful post services that they offer. Neither one had a sniff on anything technical nor demonstrated an understanding of what some of the installation challenges might be. The other two had poor warranties complete with plenty of caveats, do some research on this if you are planning on a new furnace!

The WHC technicians that installed the furnace were extremely professional, personable and took great pride in their work. They covered and protected all the floors, extremely pleasant individuals and completed the work without any problems, issues or delays. Since the estimator that prepared the quote initially took the time to review the existing conditions in the basement (vent piping configuration, ducting sizes & configuration, space dimensions, etc.), the technicians that installed the unit arrived with all the proper materials to complete the work without any surprises or problems. In other words, they planned the job before they showed up. The previous venting system from the old furnace and hot water heater was a mess and not sure how it ever passed inspection, they removed everything, reconfigured the piping layout and installed new pipes. Beautiful job! The final project looks fantastic! Everything looks level and plumb, and the furnace is awesome!

Next time we, or anyone we know has an HVAC issue, we know who we're calling.

Furnace Install

Furnace tripped the breaker overnight and then wouldn’t start again. Chris was able to send someone out right away to have a look. Controller was toast on a 20 year old furnace, time for a replacement! (/cry). With no heat Chris was quick to act and had quotes to me within an hour. They loaned us some space heaters to keep the kids warm that night and were installing by the next day. Amazing service and work seems solid (my Father in law was impressed). Not sure how the price compares to others as I didn’t have time to get other quotes but seemed to be appropriate. And the warranty is amazing! Thx again for all your work!
