Home inspection for purchase

Alert - this company incentivizes reviews by offering cash back in return! So please be treat the reviews with a grain of salt. I wish I knew about the practice before I engaged Michael.
My experience with him was different. He came across as lazy as he would not bother to open an Aircon cover at the ground level or move some furniture to look at the walls in the basement. He did not provide me a summary of his findings upon finishing his inspection, just took his money and left. The report came quickly but he would not answer calls on follow up questions and was down right rude on the responding on email. This could have been avoided if he had spent 5 minutes explaining his observations and this would have helped me better negotiate with the Seller. Overall, I did not have a good experience and I would certainly not recommend him due to his work ethic and attitude.

Company Response

I appreciate your review. If you had actually left your name I could have responded with some accuracy regarding your case.

I run a promotion where one customer per month can receive their home inspection fee back if they leave a review. There is nothing about it having to be a good review. Further, I have over 1200 reviews of which very few are unhappy customers. I always try to make sure my customers are happy but, as they say, you cannot make everyone happy. I do the promotion because people are always more likely to leave a review if they are unahappy but not many do when they are happy. This allows me to get people who are happy to leave reviews more often and goes to show that there are very few who are unhappy with my service.

Again, I do not know who you are or what property this is but in most cases a home inspector will not remove an air conditioner cover. When the temperature is below ten degrees they cannot be tested anyway and if it had a cover it is safe to assume it was during the colder season. No home inspector moves furniture. All this information is in the inspection agreement that you would have signed prior to me completing an inspection.
