Moving & Storage review in Markham

We were very pleased with how hard the 3 movers worked throughout the day. They arrived promptly, and only took a short break during the long 10 hour day it took to move us an hour away.
The fact that they spoke very little English, made it somewhat difficult with the labelled boxes, but they tried their best. We had A LOT of things to move, and we were impressed by the efficient and quick way they packed their truck.

Damaged Coffee Table

Moving & Storage review in Markham

The 3 movers arrived promptly and worked very hard throughout the day. The fact they spoke very little English made it difficult for them to read all the labelled boxes, or understand when we tried to explain verbally.
Our big concern was with a deeply scratched pine coffee table that had been given to us by my parents as an anniversary gift years ago. We showed the movers and they were concerned, but they didn't know what to do, and there was no adjustment to our final cost. It will likely cost us $200 to have it refinished. I emailed the company to let them know what had happened and also to see if we could be reimbursed at all but I was told the movers "did not recall the damage" so nothing could be done. Very disappointing and obviously, customer satisfaction is not a high priority for Smart Movers.
