Although the latter half is my original review, Weather Pro came through with the casings that were originally discussed. They came in, removed the MDF, and reinstalled vinyl casings. I am happy they came through with the original discussion and the windows and finished product is good.
When I first met with the regional manager to get a quote, I also had a flyer that offered 5% less than other comparable companies. He said that he could match the other offer for complete work, but with a lower price. This did not end up being the case. The other quote had vinyl casings on the exterior and interior as part of the quote. Weather Pro does not offer the flat finish in vinyl, so as a substitute, they automatically chose MDF casings. I did not catch this when he made up the contract, as we just discussed the other quote and that they could deliver the same quality. I contacted the manager the morning the windows were to be installed because I pulled out the paperwork and noticed the error. He told me that they would be vinyl wrapped so not to worry. BUT what I received was primed MDF casings with no indication that they were such. I wiped one with a damp cloth to wipe some dirt away and off came the primer and when I found out that I was dooped!! My original windows before any work was done had wood casings and now I have CRAP MDF. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!
