Washing machine repair - horrible customer service

After initially booking this company to fix a leaking washing machine, the technician arrived, did a couple of quick tests in which the machine didn't leak and did a general service on the machine, but warned that the drain pump might still leak and if so, would require a replacement part.

30 minutes after the tech left, the machine leaked during the rinse/spin cycle to which I contacted the technician, who told me that he would order in a part and that the company would contact me to tell me when it had arrived.

Fast forward 2 weeks and I've not heard a single peep from the company regarding whether the part had actually been ordered, when it was slated to arrive or how long I should expect to wait before I could get my machine fixed.

I contacted their customer service and parts departments numerous times (and often received a voicemail box instead of a live person) and was told conflicting information about when the part was supposed to arrive. I was also told by the parts department the technician should have told me that the part would take a MINIMUM of 2 weeks to arrive, which was never disclosed to me at the time when he said he'd have to order in a part. Had that been explained to me from the start, I would have had an opportunity to decide whether or not I wanted to wait that long with a non-functional machine.

I finally ended up speaking with a customer service person who stated he had just taken over the department, and after explaining my frustration at waiting nearly 3 weeks for a machine to be fixed with no communication whatsoever from their end and that I simply wanted a refund, he said that was not possible and that it appeared that we had to agree to disagree, then he promptly hung up on me as I was trying to respond back.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced with a company of this size - I'll be taking my business to one of the more highly rated repair shops that manage to get more than 4.1 stars rating on Homestars and doesn't get an F rating on Better Business Bureau.
