Eitan was awesome to work with. He made everything simple where alot of other companies told me it couldn't be done, he did it and did it well. What was especially great about dealing with this company is that all their workers and employees are wonderful to talk to and work with. Great people overall. He tore down and completely rebuilt our above ground deck built a receding wall and a full outdoor kitchen.

After interviewing and receiving quotes from several Contractors, we had agreed to hire M.E. Contracting for our home renovations - we are happy we did! We had a good feeling about the company, right from the get go. Our first contact, Brenda, was friendly, informative, and may I add 'spunky', and was very open and quick to answer all our questions. We set up an appointment and within a couple of days, Eitan and his crew came to discuss the work we wanted done, and gave us a quote. It was obvious that he was experienced, and we felt that he was very open and honest with us in regards to cost and timeline. We were looking to renovate three bathrooms, replace all upstairs carpeting with laminate, replace the tile in kitchen and front hallway entrance, paint the upstairs and main floor, install ceiling fans in upstairs rooms, and etc. They sent a crew to our home headed by Ilan, who had awesome ideas to share, and was very quick to incorporate and discuss any ideas we had. Concerns that we had prior to, and during the renovations were promptly dealt with, and he made sure that we were always happy with the outcome. His workers were awesome, in particular Ryan, who was here almost every day, and was always willing to lend a hand if he found us doing something (thank you Ryan!) The outdoor landscaping was headed by Sal - he was awesome! Within hours, he and his crew had provided us with a new porch, new walkways on both sides of the house and had re-sodded/cleaned up the back portion of the backyard. Sal was sure to give us a 'guided tour' of his work, to ensure that we were happy with the job - we were! Patrick (deck builder) provided us with an awesome extension of our deck - we are so looking forward to using it this coming summer. What we liked best about this entire experience was the personability of Ilan and his crew - we were very comfortable with them in the house - we actually missed them once the job was complete. It must be added that during this entire experience Ilan truly went above and beyond our expectations. He was very generous with his time, and made sure that we were happy with the work. The entire interior renovation, by the end, had taken a little longer, and cost a little more than planned, but it was because we had run into some 'mold issues' and some unforeseen structural issues - we are very thankful that all was taken care of. I would definitely recommend M.E. Contracting for whatever renovations one may be looking to have done. I had the honour of meeting Brenda just before the Holidays (I told myself that I had to meet this lovely lady in person!); she gave me a tour of their awesome showroom in the back. We happily signed on with ME Contracting as they could look after every aspect of our front yard renovation. Daryl provided us with a detailed drawing of the finished product and was a pleasure to work with. Sal and Kosta proved to be valuable assets to this company as well the men who worked alongside them. There were definitely a few challenges along the way but they were always dealt with immediately and to our great satisfaction. They also replaced without question our front yard lights even though they were not part of our contract. We have received many compliments from neighbours and friends. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone looking to renovate any part of their home.

Project: coping around pool, perimeter wood fence, PVC deck with steel support, glass railings, basic lighting.

Timeline: started a week late. Moved quickly and concluded before winter.

Comment: We absolutely loved working with Daryl, Eitan and the team. Everyone was extremely responsive, helpful and resourceful. They played nicely with pool company (separate) and our home builder. Handled neighbors well. There was never a problem that they couldn't solve.

The project was concluded on budget. Any items that changed the cost were directly communicated before a decision was made.

Like others I selected M.E. Contracting based on their very positive reviews. I was not disappointed! Eitan, Brenda, Tomer and the rest of the team were very professional and did the work on budget and on time. This company does quality work that is well worth the cost.

The job included removal of an old deck and replacement of it with a new cedar deck and flagstone patio with a retaining wall and steps down to a garden. In addition, our aging front steps were replaced with a new cedar porch and steps. All of the workers were very respectful and tidy and even our neighbors noted how careful they were.

The only reason that I could not give 10 out of 10 is that the landscape architect hired by M.E. Contracting to draw up the plans for the job basically did not do what he said he would do (submit plans for a parking pad permit to the city). He later tried to claim that this was never part of the plan. As a result, this part of the work has been delayed to 2016. I would recommend that M.E. Contracting consider contracting alternative landscape architects in the future.

I found ME Contracting via HomeStars and selected them based on the positive HomeStars reviews as well as a price comparison with multiple other vendors.

I was undertaking a complete exterior overhaul of my home, so was looking for a company to handle all of the finishing touches for the project aside from the house itself. ME Contracting was appealing because they were a one-stop-shop that would coordinate multiple sub-projects: the install of the front step flagstone refinishing, back step install, the side gate install and the front and back railing installs. The fact that ME also coordinated the selection of materials and managed the delivery of materials and clean-up after each sub-project was also fantastic. All of the sub-trades that participated in the project were very pleasant and did excellent work.

Daryl, my project manager, was great to work with. He was very responsive, professional and worked with me to manage a complicated timeline given that the ME tasks needed to take place at different points during the broader project timeline. Even when the project ran into some minor challenges, Daryl was receptive to my feedback and handled the situation efficiently and professionally.

I would recommend ME Contracting to family and friends without reservation. Thank you to Daryl, Sal, Joe, and Brenda for all of your help during my project.

We hired M.E. Contracting this past summer to do some work in our backyard based on positive reviews here on Homestars. They removed all sod, built a retaining wall to level the back of our small suburban yard, addressed drainage issues, created a paving stone seating area and bbq area, make flagstone pathways and got all our garden beds plant ready.
We have been extremely happy with both the process of working with them and the results of the project. All M.E. staff we dealt with from start to finish were kind, professional and expert at their jobs. Brenda, who works in the front office, was always helpful and friendly and was very efficient at communicating timelines and answering questions. She replied to emails quickly, often within the hour. Eitan, the owner, met with us and took into consideration our needs and made helpful suggestions. Tomer was the contractor assigned to our project. He and his team were wonderful and we would work with them again in a heartbeat. They always communicated when they would be arriving and came to work on the project every day until it was done. They were courteous and professional in their work and always cleaned up before leaving for the day. Their work was excellent and they took the time to address concerns or preferences we communicated along the way, always making sure we were happy.
We would recommend M.E. Contracting to anyone looking for high quality work done by courteous, fair and skilled professionals and we would hire them again for future work on our property.

We hired ME this past summer (2015) to completely renovate our backyard, including a swim spa installation, outdoor kitchen, deck, stone patio and artificial turf. At every point, ME was responsive, professional and helpful. They were also very reasonably priced compared to other quotes we received. Daryl, our contractor, always got back to us quickly and was on top of things. The crews who came were talented and hardworking and came every day until the work was done. Special shout out re Sal, who did our stone and turf work and is absolutely amazing--we had an issue on a Saturday morning at one point and by Saturday afternoon he had come by and fixed it.
I would definitely recommend ME to anyone considering a renovation. We actually plan on using them again soon for an indoor project and then next year for landscaping our front.

Contacted ME Contracting based on the great reviews from Homestars and Houzz. Was not disappointed. The end result was awesome! They were a bit more expensive than some other companies I looked at, but you do get what you pay for. Daryl worked with our budget and came up with a very nice design to landscape our front steps, side walkway and backyard patio. Sal did an excellent job on the landscaping work. He listened to our ideas and gave some great ideas as well. The interlock looked awesome when he was done! We've also gotten a ton of complements from the neighbors. Sal is 100% dedicated to his work and it really shows in the quality of his workmanship. The landscaping job took about two weeks to complete. Sal was also very reachable and had no problems coming back a few times to fix up a some minor issues. The only negative I would say is that the job started a little later than we would have liked. However, I believe this was because of a longer than expected job they were currently doing. The install of our front iron gate also took a bit longer than expected (3 weeks after landscaping was complete). However, these are minor issues. Overall, ME Contracting did an outstanding job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Our home is located on a corner lot and was in desperate need of a new fence. While searching through the internet, I came across a company by the name of M.E. Contracting. I read some of their reviews and thought to myself that it seemed too good to be true. I ended up calling M.E. Contracting and from the first initial contact with a lady by the name of Brenda through to the end of the work done on our black iron fence, I can truly say without a doubt that M.E. Contracting is the very best. Thank-you Eitan, Keren, and Brenda. Thank-you especially to Joe and his assistant Mark for the outstanding work that was done. Thank-you to Sal for the stone work that was done around the fence. They have transformed the look of our house and so many people have complimented the work that was done. The Home stars scale is from 1-10, I wish I could go higher than a 10+++++. In the future should we have any other work done, we will definitely have no hesitation in choosing M.E. Contracting.
