After interviewing and receiving quotes from several Contractors, we had agreed to hire M.E. Contracting for our home renovations - we are happy we did! We had a good feeling about the company, right from the get go. Our first contact, Brenda, was friendly, informative, and may I add 'spunky', and was very open and quick to answer all our questions. We set up an appointment and within a couple of days, Eitan and his crew came to discuss the work we wanted done, and gave us a quote. It was obvious that he was experienced, and we felt that he was very open and honest with us in regards to cost and timeline. We were looking to renovate three bathrooms, replace all upstairs carpeting with laminate, replace the tile in kitchen and front hallway entrance, paint the upstairs and main floor, install ceiling fans in upstairs rooms, and etc. They sent a crew to our home headed by Ilan, who had awesome ideas to share, and was very quick to incorporate and discuss any ideas we had. Concerns that we had prior to, and during the renovations were promptly dealt with, and he made sure that we were always happy with the outcome. His workers were awesome, in particular Ryan, who was here almost every day, and was always willing to lend a hand if he found us doing something (thank you Ryan!) The outdoor landscaping was headed by Sal - he was awesome! Within hours, he and his crew had provided us with a new porch, new walkways on both sides of the house and had re-sodded/cleaned up the back portion of the backyard. Sal was sure to give us a 'guided tour' of his work, to ensure that we were happy with the job - we were! Patrick (deck builder) provided us with an awesome extension of our deck - we are so looking forward to using it this coming summer. What we liked best about this entire experience was the personability of Ilan and his crew - we were very comfortable with them in the house - we actually missed them once the job was complete. It must be added that during this entire experience Ilan truly went above and beyond our expectations. He was very generous with his time, and made sure that we were happy with the work. The entire interior renovation, by the end, had taken a little longer, and cost a little more than planned, but it was because we had run into some 'mold issues' and some unforeseen structural issues - we are very thankful that all was taken care of. I would definitely recommend M.E. Contracting for whatever renovations one may be looking to have done. I had the honour of meeting Brenda just before the Holidays (I told myself that I had to meet this lovely lady in person!); she gave me a tour of their awesome showroom in the back. Manuel and Alexis were great! Once the appointment was confirmed, they arrived on time and continued to work until all was done. Because they had to have new wiring etc., for the installation of the pot light and island light, I was expecting to have a ceiling full of holes. Instead, they cut an approximate 5" X 6" hole which they patched and repaired. In fact, there was hardly any mess at all as they lay drop clothes and made sure to vacuum and clean up before leaving. Manuel and Alexis were friendly, and polite, and we were even treated to Alexis' awesome piano playing, a great bonus! I have already told family and friends about my experience with Java, Manuel and Alexis; I will not hesitate to used them again when I'm in need of further electrical work. Thank you once again!

We had received a few quotes for the replacement of our double garage doors and decided to book with Smart Doors Overhead Garage Doors and Openers - glad we did! There was something very personable about Mike who came to give us a quote. He took the time to explain, in detail, the style of doors available, insulation, etc, and choices of garage door openers. He answered all our questions and invited us to drop by the shop in case we had other questions or see more samples. He correctly estimated the time it would take to order the doors, and in what time frame they would be installed. Once the appointment was booked the Smart Door team arrived earlier than the appointment time to get things started before the rest of the crew came. The friendly and efficient team worked hard and had everything installed and working in a matter of hours. They carted the old materials away and left the place clean - thanks guys!
